Trump -psykoosi

Siellä on jopa linkki wikileaksiin.

Wikileaks julkaisi DNC sähköpostit 22. heinäkuuta 2016.

Podestan postit julkaistiin 7. lokakuuta 2016.

----

Ja luonnollisesti Obstruction of Justice -osuus sai vahvistusta myöskin liittyen Moskovan tornin peittelyyn.

Kertoo paljon miehestä, onko valmis "walk the walk".

WikiLeaks on Monday published more than 1,000 emails about the Iraq War from Hillary Clinton's private server during her time as secretary of State.

The website tweeted a link to 1,258 emails that Clinton, now the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, sent and received. They stem from a trove of emails released by the State Department in February.

WikiLeaks combed through the emails to find all the messages that reference the Iraq War.

Why I Founded Stand For America

America is the greatest nation in the history of the world. That greatness is why generations of people from all over the world have come here legally, including my parents. They reminded my brothers, my sister and me every day just how blessed we were to be born and raised in this country. Growing up in rural South Carolina, I never dreamed I would become our state’s Governor. With hard work, determination, and the incredible support of the people of South Carolina, I was blessed to be able to do that. And then I was doubly blessed to serve the nation I love so dearly, as President Trump’s U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.

My story is proof positive that the American dream is alive and well. America’s greatness comes from our freedom and our values and they must be protected for future generations.

As UN Ambassador I was able to see firsthand the challenges we face around the globe. Iranian-backed radical Islamic terrorism threatens the lives of innocent Americans. Communist China is spreading its influence throughout the world and engaging in unfair and illegal trade practices. North Korea still has nuclear weapons that can hit us. Russia meddles in our elections and invades its neighbors with no regard for their sovereignty. In our own backyard, socialist dictators in Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua oppress their own people and support narco-trafficking that invades America.

At home, our prosperity is challenged by socialist schemes of higher taxes, job-destroying regulations, government-run health care, and unsecure borders. Our government is often held hostage by career politicians who pay more attention to their next election than the next generation. And we have a mass media culture that constantly emphasizes conflict and differences among our fellow citizens rather than what unites us.

Even though I have entered private life, I will never stop standing up for America’s freedom and values. We all have a part to play in keeping our country safe, strong, and prosperous.

Erikoista on kuinka Republikaanit ainoastaan hyökkäävät Cohenin henkilöä vastaan, eivät lainkaan pyri puolustamaan presidenttiä tai yritä epäillä Cohenin lausuntoja Trumpin kannalta raskauttavista asioista. Cohenin mukaan New Yorkin syyttäjänvirasto tutkii Trumpia rikoksista.

Ehdin tuossa vähän aika sitten vasta avaamaan live-streamia. Paria republikaania vasta ehdin kuunnella. Ja on kyllä tosiaan mielenkiintoinen dynamiikka, kuten jo yllä mainittu.

Demokraatit pyrkivät selvittämään, mitä on tapahtunut.

According to documents associated with a plea agreement reached with the office of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, it was on Aug. 28, 2017, that Michael Cohen sent a letter to the House and Senate Intelligence committees about his interactions with his former legal client President Trump.

Among the claims in that letter, Cohen asserted that conversations about a prospective real estate development in Moscow ended in January 2016, before the Republican primaries began. “By the end of January 2016, I determined that the proposal was not feasible for a variety of business reasons,” his statement read, “and should not be pursued further.”

This was a lie. As Cohen later admitted, conversations continued until June of that year. Presented with this conflict by Mueller, Cohen agreed to plead guilty to a charge of filing a false statement.

Last month, BuzzFeed News reported that Cohen’s lie about when the Moscow project ended was directed by Trump himself and that Cohen had informed Mueller’s team about that direction. The special counsel’s office, in an unprecedented step, denied that report.

Cohen’s arrival on Capitol Hill this week promised to offer more insight on how his incorrect statement was formulated. And so it did Wednesday.

In his prepared remarks, Cohen said that Trump never told him specifically to lie about the proposed Moscow deal but that Trump “in his way” indicated that he wanted Cohen to be dishonest about it. But in the statement he also offered a more tantalizing explanation: “Mr. Trump’s personal lawyers reviewed and edited my statement to Congress about the timing of the Moscow Tower negotiations before I gave it.”

In a series of questions posed by Democratic members of the House Oversight Committee, Cohen offered more details. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) was the first to broach the issue.

“You said you lied to Congress about Trump’s negotiations to build his Moscow tower because he’d made it clear to you that he wanted you to lie,” Raskin said.

He noted Cohen’s statement about the role of Trump’s lawyers.

"So this is a pretty breathtaking claim and I just want to get to the facts here,” Raskin continued. “Which specific lawyers reviewed and edited your statement to Congress on the Moscow Tower negotiations and did they make any changes to your statement?"

"There were changes made, additions,” Cohen said. “Jay Sekulow for one” — referring to Trump's personal attorney handling the investigations into Russian interference.

"Were there questions about the timing?” Raskin asked.

“There were several changes that were made, including how we were going to handle that message,” Cohen replied. “Which was —
the message, of course, being the length of time that the Trump Tower Moscow project stayed and remained alive.”

"That was one of the changes?” Raskin said.

"Yes,” Cohen replied.

Rep. John Sarbanes (D-Md.) returned to the subject a bit later.

"Who at the White House reviewed your testimony?” Sarbanes asked.

“I don’t know the answer to that,” Cohen replied. “The document was originally created by myself along with my attorney at the time. . . . There was a joint defense agreement so the document circulated around. I believe it was also reviewed by Abbe Lowell who represents Ivanka [Trump] and Jared Kushner.”

"Why did you provide the testimony to the White House?” Sarbanes asked.

"It was pursuant to the joint defense agreement that we were all operating under,” Cohen said.

This is an important point. Many of Trump’s allies in the investigations into his campaign and possible coordination with Russia have at some point been involved in a joint defense agreement. Normally, interactions between a client and an attorney are kept private. Upon entering into a joint defense agreement, that pool essentially expands outward, with information shared among the pool of attorneys and clients.

In other words, Cohen, before submitting his testimony, sent it to that pool for review. When he got it back changes had been made.

“What were the edits that came back substantively?” Sarbanes then asked.

“I don’t know, sir,” Cohen replied. “I’d have to take a look at the document.” In response to a later question, Cohen suggested he’d be happy to provide his original statement.

"Did you have a reaction to why there might not have been, in a sense, a protest to what was going to be false testimony that was going to be provided to the Intelligence Committee?” Sarbanes asked.

“No sir, because the goal was to stay on message,” Cohen replied. “It’s just limit the relationship whatsoever with Russia. It was short. There’s no Russian contacts. There’s no Russian collusion. There’s no Russian deals. That’s the message. That’s the message that existed well before my need to come and testify.”

“I toed the party line,” Cohen later added, “and I’m now suffering and I’m going to continue to suffer for a while along with my family, so yes.”

A bit later, Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) put a fine point on the question. Who were the attorneys that edited the document?

“Jay Sekulow,” Cohen replied, “I believe Abbe Lowell as well.”

The implication of this is significant. First, it distances Cohen from culpability — though, of course, he’s still responsible for submitting a statement he knew to be untrue. More broadly, it gets to the question posed by BuzzFeed’s initial report. Changing that bit of information could suggest a deliberate effort to mislead Congress which could be seen as obstruction of justice.

How Sekulow or Lowell decided to make that change — assuming Cohen’s presentation is accurate — is important. Perhaps it was a function of a misunderstanding about when the project actually ended, a misunderstanding that Cohen believed was intentional. Or perhaps it was an intentional effort to downplay the significance of the deal. If that was the case, it’s important to know why Sekulow or Lowell would have made that change. If Sekulow made it — and it was at the direction of Trump — the president is again implicated in questions about obstruction.

It’s worth noting another comment from Cohen later in the testimony.

Rep. Mark DeSaulnier (D-Calif.) asked why pursuit of the Moscow tower came to a conclusion.

“Because he won the presidency,” Cohen replied.

Trump hadn’t won the presidency in June 2016, the point at which we currently understand the deal to have fallen apart. Another Trump attorney, former New York attorney Rudolph W. Giuliani, has on two occasions suggested that the conversations about the Moscow tower may have extended to November.

Put another way, the full story is still unclear.

:ROFLMAO:

Just joo.

Vanity Fairin juttu “WE CAN ENGINEER IT”: TRUMP ASSOCIATE BRAGGED ABOUT USING DEAL WITH PUTIN TO HELP WIN ELECTION käsittelee tuota aihetta kohtalaisen hyvin).

President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un abruptly cut short their two-day summit here Thursday after the two leaders failed to reach an agreement to dismantle that country’s nuclear weapons.

Although Kim said he was ready in principle to denuclearize, he and Trump ended their meetings without sitting for a planned lunch and without participating in a joint signing ceremony.

In a statement, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said, “The two leaders discussed various ways to advance denuclearization and economic driven concepts. No agreement was reached at this time, but their respective teams look forward to meeting in the future.”

Trump planned to address the state of negotiations at a news conference, which was moved ahead by two hours, before he departs Vietnam on Thursday evening to return to Washington.

For Trump, the surprising turn of events amounted to a diplomatic failure after he had hoped his second summit with Kim, following their meeting last summer in Singapore, would produce demonstrable progress toward North Korea’s denuclearization.

Sitting beside Kim on Thursday morning, Trump said the pair had enjoyed very good discussions over dinner the night before, with “a lot of great ideas being thrown about,” adding that “importantly, I think the relationship is, you know, just very strong.”

“And when you have a good relationship, a lot of good things happen. So, I can’t speak necessarily for today, but I can say this that, a little bit longer-term, and over a period of time, I know we’re going to have a fantastic success with respect to Chairman Kim and North Korea.”

Trump repeatedly stressed there was “no rush” to make a deal. “Chairman Kim and myself, we want to do the right deal. Speed is not important,” he said.

And Kim said he was ready to denuclearize, at least in principle. “If I’m not willing to do that, I wouldn’t be here right now,” he said through an interpreter.

Both Kim and Trump also said they would welcome the idea of opening a U.S. liaison office in the North Korean capital. Washington does not have direct diplomatic representation in Pyongyang.

Asked if he was confident the pair would reach a deal, Kim was equally guarded.

“It’s too early to tell. I won’t prejudge,” Kim said in reply to the question from a Washington Post reporter, a rare response from a North Korean leader to an independent journalist. “From what I feel right now, I do have a feeling that good results will come.”

Kim also said the whole world was watching them.

“There would be people welcoming, and people viewing our meeting with skepticism, but there would also be people who would look at us spending a great time together, like a scene in a fantasy movie,” he said.

On Wednesday night, Trump offered a public embrace of Kim, referring to the authoritarian ruler as “my friend” and stating that he is “satisfied” with the progress of their negotiations.

“Some people would like to see it be quicker. I’m satisfied; you’re satisfied,” Trump told Kim before a private, one-on-one meeting, followed by a social dinner with a small group of aides at the luxurious, five-star Metropole hotel. “We want to be happy with what we’re doing.”

Trump said he believed their first summit, in Singapore, was a success and added that their meetings in Hanoi “will be equal to or greater than the first.” He held up Vietnam as a model for economic growth for North Korea, which he said has “unlimited” potential.

“I look forward to watching it happen, and we will help it happen,” Trump said, sitting next to Kim in front of a row of American and North Korean flags. The president wore a dark suit and striped tie, while Kim wore his traditional Mao-style suit. The North Korean leader smiled as Trump spoke.

On Thursday morning, Trump and Kim arrived in separate motorcades for the second day of summit talks at the hotel. After speaking to reporters seated in front of U.S. and North Korea flags, they strolled briefly through the hotel, pausing to chat briefly with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his North Korean counterpart, Kim Yong Chol, by the pool.

Trump’s warm greeting of Kim on Wednesday night suggested that the president was hopeful that their personal rapport can help bridge gaps in the negotiations among lower-level aides ahead of the summit. Trump said the biggest area of progress since Singapore was their “relationship,” and in a tweet after the dinner he said the two had “very good dialogue.”

The dinner of grilled sirloin and chocolate lava cake was an attempt to continue to foster trust ahead of a series of meetings Thursday during which the two sides will attempt to lock down the terms of an agreement. U.S. negotiators are seeking detailed commitments from Pyongyang to dismantle at least some of its nuclear weapons facilities, while Kim’s regime wants relief from punishing economic sanctions and a declaration to formally end the Korean War.

At the dinner, Pompeo and acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney joined Trump and Kim, along with two senior North Korean aides, Kim Yong Chol and Ri Yong Ho, and two interpreters.

Kim smiled warmly as the two men shook hands, but looked uncomfortable in the glare of television cameras and the loud clicking of shutters from photographers. He praised Trump for his “extraordinary and courageous political decision” that allowed their reunion to take place after 261 days and hinted that he had his own doubters to overcome at home.

But if there was one thing the two men agreed on, it was that this summit was going to be a success. “Disbelief and misunderstandings were everywhere, and old hostile habits were getting in our way, but we’ve overcome it well, come face to face and walked all the way to Hanoi in 260 days,” Kim Jong Un said in the photo op with Trump. “I think it’s been a time period that took me more agony, effort and patience than ever. I am confident a great result will be produced this time to be welcomed by everyone, and I will do my best toward that goal.”

White House aides have said the president is determined to sell Kim on a vision of modernization and present him with a choice between continued isolation or burgeoning economic growth if he gives up the North’s nuclear weapons program.

Trump made his economic pitch to Kim during their first summit in Singapore last summer, showing him a four-minute video produced by the White House that interspersed images with war and destruction with gleaming hyper-modern cityscapes. Kim, in his mid-30s, has said in public addresses that he is focused on improving the North Korean economy, which has suffered under decades of international economic sanctions for the country’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs — and the regime’s corrupt governance.

Analysts have said Trump’s strategy is risky, given that U.S. intelligence officials have said Kim is unlikely to surrender an arsenal that is thought to include anywhere between 20 and 65 nuclear warheads. Although Trump has pointed to a moratorium on testing that has been in place since November 2017, U.S. intelligence has discovered evidence that the North has sought to conceal its weapons programs despite publicly engaging with the United States and South Korea in denuclearization talks.

Administration officials, led by the State Department, have worked over the past two weeks to try to nail down specific commitments from Pyongyang to advance the process, but progress has been slow, according to U.S. and South Korean officials familiar with the talks.

The United States is said to be seeking a detailed timeline and verification process for Pyongyang to close its primary nuclear processing facility at Yongbyon — but North Korean negotiators have resisted agreeing to specifics.

Mikä on valitettavaa. Mutta turha lienee kenenkään koettaa selittää. Asiat etenevät omalla painollaan, ja avautuvat toivottavasti varmaan sitten myöhemmin.
