Barrel Upgrade: How Azovs upgrade their weapons
Is there a universal AK tuning formula? Today in the issue of "Free Warrior" we will talk about how the fighters of the Azov unit improve their weapons in order to improve their functionality and adapt them to themselves. From the submachine gun of the medic of the assault company to the AK of the unit commander - we will discuss the details and features of modernization on the samples of personal protection weapons of our fighters.

"Weapons tuning can be divided into two main areas: making changes to the structure, i.e. to the operation of the automation itself, and the second is ergonomics, i.e. customizing the weapon to suit yourself," explains a friend of the Intelligent. He will talk about how he improved his own automatic machine and will announce the approximate cost of such modernization.

According to him, one of the key factors that must be taken into account in the modernization process is the final weight of the weapon, so as not to carry too much.

Where to start the upgrade and how not to overdo it with weapon tuning - we talk about this and other things in detail in the new issue of "Free Warrior".

On the morning of June 08, 2022, as part of a larger, coordinated effort to push the Russians back in Severodonetsk, Foreign Service Group-Alpha conducted an offensive operation to recapture territory from the Russians. This footage was captured by one of the team members during the operation.

-OPERATION SUMMARY -

FSG-Alpha inserted partway into the city via armored vehicle, before continuing to the Ukranian line of control on foot. Both Ukranian and Russian lines of control in the city were separated by a small strip of "No Man's Land", where most of the fighting occurred. FSG-Alpha's mission was to push into said "No Man's Land", clear, capture, and then hold several buildings until reinforcements arrived.

The mission proceeded fairly uneventfully until the team began the push into "No Man's Land". While crossing the street and capturing the first building, the team was spotted by a Russian fireteam that was, presumably, attempting to capture the same street. The Russians engaged FSG-Alpha, firing two grenades from an underbarrel grenade launcher. The grenades landed within meters of several FSG-Alpha personell, alerting them to the presence of the Russian fireteam.

FSG-Alpha engaged the Russians in return, and the firefight escalated from there, turning into an 8 hour long engagement that only ended when the sun set and darkness fell. Both sides made heavy use of rockets and RPGs, as well as tank and artillery support. Mid-way through the firefight, a second Russian element, located in an elevated position further down the street, attempted to assist the first Russian element, by firing on the building occupied by FSG-Alpha with a PKM equipped with armor piercing rounds. These rounds penetrated the walls of the building, narrowly missing several FSG-Alpha team members. Additionally, FSG-Alpha was briefly fired upon by Ukranian units located behind the team, who recieved fire from the aforementioned Russian elements, and mis-identified FSG-Alpha's position as a Russian one.

As the sun set, the Russian elements retreated back down the street to their line of control. FSG-Alpha continued to hold the captured building, and captured a second, adjacent building as well. After nightfall, the team was backfilled by elements of the Ukranian National Guard, allowing the team to extract under the cover of darkness, to rearm and recuperate.

Miraculously, FSG-Alpha took no casualties during this operation.

Foreign Service Group-Alpha is a team of the GUR branch of the International Legion of Ukraine.

The SBU prevented attempts to hack the state electronic system in the construction industry

Cyber specialists of the Security Service of Ukraine exposed and stopped criminals who tried to legalize illegal constructions by hacking the Unified State Electronic System in the field of construction, and also issued fake certificates of attestation of architects.

This was announced by the head of the Cyber Security Department of the SBU, Ilya Vityuk.

"We exposed illegal schemes in time and did not allow criminals to hack the state electronic system. We are not talking about ordinary cyber hacking, but about crimes that could lead to very serious consequences in the future. If it were not for the reaction of the Security Service of Ukraine, hundreds of "problem" buildings that were erected in violation of current requirements and standards would have been legalized in Ukraine. And this is the risk of man-made accidents and other emergency situations. And that means it's a risk for thousands of Ukrainians," Ilya Vityuk emphasized.
Also, according to him, the launch of a new large-scale corruption scheme in the construction sector was not allowed.
"The construction sector was the first where the Ministry of Digitalization team managed to implement a real digital transformation. Digitization provides transparent tools to capture every action. Thanks to the creation of the Unified State Electronic System in the field of construction, the state saves billions of hryvnias annually. In addition, it became possible to prevent and detect illegal schemes in the construction sector. After all, the system is built in such a way that the digital footprint of each user remains forever and is easy to track," said Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation.
According to the special service, high-ranking officials of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine, well-known "shadow" intermediaries are involved in the organization of the events. The involvement of state and local government officials is also being checked.

The perpetrators tried to obtain money illegally by forging and selling permit documents to representatives of the construction business.

Among the frauds exposed are illegal registrations of objects that violate state building regulations, as well as a scheme for issuing fake certificates of professional attestation of architects. At the same time, anyone could be made an "architect".

For this, the representative of the National Union of Architects handed over to a controlled third party his electronic key for entering the electronic system and editing the data of former architects from the Crimean Autonomous Republic.

During the search of the dealers' places of residence and work, the law enforcement officers discovered:
- seals of authorities, as well as individual business entities in the field of construction and architecture;
- computer equipment and other digital media with evidence of criminal acts.

In order to establish all the circumstances of the offenses and bring the culprits to justice, a pre-trial investigation is currently underway under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 3 of Art. 361 and Part 3 of Art. 362.

Also, the Department of Cyber Security of the Security Service of Ukraine provided appropriate recommendations to specialists of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Digital Transformation, which made it possible to eliminate existing gaps in the electronic system.

Ilya Vityuk noted that the same vulnerabilities of the system could be used by the special services of the Russian Federation to carry out cyberespionage and cyberterrorism actions, recalling that last year the SBU repelled 4,500 Russian cyberattacks.

Crime detection measures were carried out by the SBU DKIB staff together with the National Police under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General's Office and the assistance of the Ministry of Information.

A STORK WINTERING IN THE EAST
Nowadays, with the development of technology, the methods of reconnaissance at the front have changed radically. Now scouts, in addition to their eyes, have another one - in the sky. These are unmanned aerial vehicles.

Among the large number of names of UAVs used by our military, of course, mostly foreign ones. But there are domestic ones. Among them is the Leka-100 unmanned aerial vehicle, which stands out among its counterparts in terms of quality.

Ukrainian defenders smashed the occupiers in Luhansk region to pieces
The Defense Forces of Ukraine, including units of the State Border Service, are actively working to repel the armed invasion of the aggressor country.
During a joint reconnaissance sortie of border guards and anti-tankers of one of the brigades, UAVs recorded the location of the invaders' unit. Motorized riflemen of the Russian occupying forces set up in a forest plantation in the Luhansk region.
The occupiers, in addition to a caponir for a combat vehicle and a dugout, built several shacks in the forest strip. Directly in flight, aerial reconnaissance carried out targeting for a battery of a separate artillery brigade.
Our defenders destroyed the enemy BMP and the personnel of the occupiers, who were hiding in the dugout from the shelling, with fire from guns. In addition, Ukrainian artillery destroyed the entire "building" of the Zayd along with their property.
