Jotkut asiat otetaan Israelissa vakavasti.

I rest my case...eli lepuutan laukkuani... :)

Iranian intelligence operatives recently detained over a dozen squirrels found within the nation's borders, claiming the rodents were serving as spies for Western powers determined to undermine the Islamic Republic.
"In recent weeks, intelligence operatives have arrested 14 squirrels within Iran's borders," state-sponsored news agency IRNA reported. "The squirrels were carrying spy gear of foreign agencies, and were stopped before they could act, thanks to the alertness of our intelligence services."
Iranian police commander Esmaeil Ahmadi-Moqadam confirmed the report, saying that a number of squirrels had been caught bearing foreign spy gear within Iran's borders.
"I heard of this but I have no specific knowledge on the subject," he said. He refused to give further details.
Recently, Iran has increased its efforts in combating espionage by the West. The use of rodents has not been documented in the past.

Sirens were heard in a number of communities across Northern Israel. Investigations found that the falls occurred next to a kibbutz in the Galilee. An investigation by the IDF has found that the shooting occurred from within Syria; apparently stray fire from the Syrian Civil War. The IDF has launched an artillery strike in response.

There are no reports of injuries or damage but a fire broke out in a field in the area. Firefighting forces are active now to take control of the fire.

Iron Dome deployed in Beersheba
After Iron Dome batteries were deployed in Ashdod, the security establishment also decided to place the Iron Dome batteries in Beersheba.

Hours after reports that the security system placed Iron Dome batteries in Ashdod, it was released for publication that the rocket interception system will also be placed in Beersheba. This comes following the fear that the bad condition that Islamic Jihad terrorist Mohammed Allan is facing following his extensive hunger strike will cause the situation to deteriorate.

The IDF increased its forces in the West Bank following fears that should Allan die, it will lead to an escalation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The forces are alert but at this stage are not jumping to the territories. In recent days, Islamic Jihad threatened to avenge the death of Allan should it occur. However, according to reports that reached Channel 2 from Barzilai Hospital, Allan’s condition is stable.

IAF eliminates rocket launchers in Syria

In a successful air strike, IAF jets were able to hit an army vehicle which carried several Islamic Jihad terrorists who had fired rockets into Israel. Syria reported that at least one man was killed in a different attack.

Israeli Air Force warplanes have bombed a vehicle carrying members of Islamic Jihad who were part of the team that launched four rockets into Israel on Thursday, which hit the Golan and northern Galilee. A high-ranking IAF officer has confirmed that at least five of them are dead.

Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon praised the military achievement. "The elimination of this team is another proof that we are not willing to tolerate any attempt to disturb the lives of Israeli citizens and harm their security," Ya'alon said. "Whoever seeks to do so should know that the IDF and the security system will hunt them down and lay their hands on them, any time, any place. Nobody should test our determination."

Meanwhile, reports coming from the Syrian army claim that five civilians were killed in another IAF air strike on a vehicle.

Late Thursday night, about 14 Syrian army targets were hit by the IDF in a series of air and artillery strikes, which came as a response to the rocket fire. According to an official news report in Syria, one man was killed and seven injured in a bombing of an army post near the town of Quneitra.

Israel claims the rocket fire from Syria was an Iranian initiative, led specifically by a top Revolutionary Guards official, and whose aim is to cause an escalation between Israel and Syria.

Obama voi kuherrella Iranin kanssa ihan miten vain, mutta IDF:n tiedustelu on syvällä Iranin armeijassa. Israel ei suostu tontuksi tässä.

Rivlin: Settlement movement is Israel’s front line together with the IDF

In reaction to the amount of flak that the settler movement is receiving due to the actions and incitement of some of the extremists in its midst and in sympathy with its recurring security problems, President Reuven Rivlin invited council heads from Judea and Samaria to meet with him on Monday to share their grievances and to toast the incoming New Year.

Headed by Yesha Council chairman Avi Roeh, a delegation of slightly under 20 members of the Yesha Council met with Rivlin at his official residence in Jerusalem on Monday.

Speaking to journalists prior to the meeting, Roeh said that the settler movement was bearing the brunt of the actions of a few radicals, and was sometimes tarred with a brush of racism and intolerance based on actions by individuals who had nothing whatsoever to do with the settler movement, but was the fall-out of overly patriotic non-settlers.

The settler movement was a pioneering movement that was in the national front line of defense, and had been encouraged and supported by a series of both right and left wing governments, said Roeh.

Asked whether he agreed with the assessment of former prime minister and defense minister Ehud Barak that current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is weak and unable to make tough decisions, Roeh declined to associate himself with Barak’s remarks, but said that Netanyahu was making a mistake in bowing to European and American pressure with regard to construction in the settlements, because additional housing is essential for the growing population. “Bibi is not adhering to his own agenda,” said Roeh. “He speaks of strengthening the settlement movement, but does the opposite. His attitude is inconsistent with his declared policy.”

When speaking later to Rivlin, Roeh voiced appreciation for the president’s support of the settlement movement and emphasized that despite the rifts in Israeli society which have been exacerbated in recent weeks and months, it was important to be united on issues of Israel’s legitimate right to exist.

It was vital for this point to be made, he said, because there are so many who question Israel’s legitimacy.

Rivlin, who has been a keen supporter of the settlement movement likewise referred to its pioneering spirit, and characterized the settlement movement as an expression of the ancestral right of the Jewish people.

Mindful of the current wave of terrorism, Rivlin said that it was imperative to fight terror, but that all actions in this respect must be within the framework of the law and in accordance with strict moral codes.

He praised the settlement movement as being Israel’s front line together with the IDF, and noted the extent to which it has to pay a heavy price in coping with harsh terrorist attacks.

Palestinian street reacts angrily to Hamas Jewish rape cartoon

A recent Hamas cartoon portrays a hook-nosed Jew raping a Palestinian woman symbolizing the Fatah movement while murdering her children as an Israeli soldier stands by yawning and a Hamas terrorist calls out to her: “West Bank, get up and defend your honor and your children.” The cartoon that was exposed by Palestinian Media Watch noted that it was controversial because it portrayed Palestinian women and Fatah as being unable to defend themselves.

According to Palestinian Media Watch, an organization that monitors media outlets within the Palestinian Authority for anti-Israel bias, Hamas recently published a graphic cartoon of a hook-nosed Jew raping a woman and murdering her children as an Israeli soldier stands by yawning, completely ignoring the rape and double murders. In the background, a Hamas jihadist behind a barb-wired fence calls out to the woman: “West Bank, get up and defend your honor and your children.” The woman, dressed symbolically in yellow to symbolize the Fatah Movement, yelled back: “Yes, I would like to but I have no permit.” The Palestinian street was outraged by this Hamas cartoon, forcing Hamas to issue a public apology and to take down the cartoon from its twitter account.

"The Hamas Media agency Al-Risala published a clarification regarding the caricature tweeted from its twitter account,” according to the report. “The Hamas Media agency Al-Risala emphasized that the caricature and the caricaturist who drew it are not associated with the agency and that an apology was tweeted immediately after by the same account." The cartoonist himself Baha Yassin also apologized for his initial cartoon that indicated that West Bank women are not capable of fighting against Israel and immediately drew a fresh cartoon of a Hamas woman murdering a hook-nosed Jew who allegedly killed two Palestinian children while telling the shocked helpless woman in yellow who symbolized Fatah: “I will attain what my children deserve and what you deserve, Palestinian Authority of shame.”
