Syrian Kurdish Leader: “ISIS will be at Israel’s borders if the world won’t help us”
Syrian Kurdish leader Sherkoh Abbas, President of the Kurdistan National Assembly of Syria, told JerusalemOnline in an exclusive interview that the Kurds are being ethnically cleansed from their lands and the Druze also face an existential threat. He stressed that if the world does not help them, ISIS will be along the Israeli border.
In an exclusive interview with JerusalemOnline, Syrian Kurdish leader Sherkoh Abbas noted that Syria is currently being overrun by Islamist radicals, whether they are the Syrian government/Iranian-backed terror groups or Al Qaeda linked Islamist organizations like ISIS and Jabhat Al Nusra: “Both are radicals that are not good for the country. The regime has caused the displacement of a generation. It is not good for the Syrian people or the regional countries. It is a threat to the international community. It can lead to a breeding ground for terrorism. Now, Russia is turning Syria into another Afghanistan with the Iranians and others on their side.”
Abbas noted that within Syria, the two main groups that are not hostile towards Israel are the Kurds and the Druze, noting that both of these peoples are fighting for their very survival in the face of an existential threat but are not getting the assistance that they need from Israel and the international community in general: “Israel has not intervened like most of the world to help have a peaceful and federal Syria that will bolster the security of Israel. Israel is not doing anything at the moment. Only minor acts to help the Druze but nothing for the Kurds.”
According to Abbas, there is not a danger that ISIS will take over all of Syria because the international community won’t let that happen but there is a great concern that the chaos that has spread throughout the country will lead to a significant rise in extremism: “Russia and Iran intervened directly to attack the groups that would threaten the regime and only then went after ISIS. Turkey and the others are interested in eliminating groups that threaten them before ISIS. ISIS they save for the last. Syria is a failed state. It does not exist as a state. As a result, millions of people have been displaced. In the northwest of Syria, in 2011, it was 97 percent Kurdish. Now, it is about 70 percent Arab.”
“The numbers and demographics are not good for Kurds,” he noted. “The regime needed to do ethnic cleansing without having to be involved. It is a wealthy area with oil. All of those areas along the Turkish border have been emptied out. It is good for Turkey for it will prevent a Kurdish autonomous region. That area now has less Kurds. They are moving pro-regime Arabs into that area. The Kurds will be a minority in that area and that serves the interests of Iran, Assad, and Turkey. It does undermine the Kurds. It will happen to the Druze soon. When there is a political settlement, it will serve Russia, Iran, Assad, and the neighboring countries but not the Kurds. Five years ago, ten years ago, there would have been a no fly zone preventing this. Iran and Assad are one step ahead of the West. They are portraying the Syrian opposition as radicals and Assad as keeping the peace.”
For this reason, the Assad regime removed the radical Al Qaeda linked terrorists from jail so that they could ethnically cleanse the Kurds from the area without the regime and the Iranian axis facing international repercussions as the instigators of this wanton aggression. Additionally, by having Al Qaeda linked groups join the ranks of the Syrian Opposition, it destroys the image of the Syrian Opposition and has effectively transformed the Syrian regime from being perceived as a government committing democide to partners in the War against Terrorism. Abbas noted that a great many ISIS terrorist leaders were former Baathists and the fact that the Assad regime is secular does not mean that they aren’t aligned with radical Islamist terror groups: “It was much sexier to use the name of Islam at the expense of the Syrian people.” He stressed that since both Assad and Iran know how to play the West, America and Europe did not pick up on the connections between ISIS and Iran, between the Syrian regime and ISIS, etc.
Abbas noted that the Obama administration is supporting Turkey regarding this and Obama’s policies have led to “a disaster for humanity and the world by forcing four to six million people to leave the country and destroying every single cultural place within Syria as well as homes. It will take forever to heal. They created a generation of terrorists for there is nothing to live for. They destroyed everything beautiful about Syria. Radical Islamists and the regime get all of the support for nothing is being done to help the Syrian refugees. It is pathetic for the US, who has a lot of influence to promote democracy and freedom, only accepted 1,500 people over the course of four years. Either you help them live in that area or open the borders. They don’t help the refugees and it becomes a nightmare.”
Abbas believes that given the atrocities ISIS has committed, they are “worse than cancer, cannot be distinguished from Nazis, and maybe even worse. When you look at the statistics, in a short period of time, ISIS killed and displaced a major part of Middle Eastern society and if they had the opportunity, they would wipe out nations. This destruction is what they want. What makes me wonder is that during the Bush era, the US saw Al Qaeda as a threat and went after them. Now, Al Qaeda linked groups are sitting there under Obama. Why? If you have troops on the ground willing to finish off ISIS and you are not helping them, why?”
“The legacy of the Obama administration is more radical groups that make Al Qaeda look moderate and a lack of action by not helping,” Abbas stressed. “They are helping ISIS in a way by accidently dropping weapons, training the wrong people that lead to weapons reaching ISIS, and by helping the Iraqi Army and not the Kurds directly. The US Secretary of Defense stated that they are directly arming the Kurds. He is not telling the truth. No Kurds from Syria and Iraq received aid directly from the US. The Iraqi government is under the control of Iran. Turkey is after the Kurds, the same people trying to finish off ISIS. They need to help us and work with us. The consequences could be a major problem for them as well. Keeping it this way will only make things worse. The Kurds, Christians and Druze are the losers. We are paying the price and the world is watching. Assad must be finished.”

JÄNNITYS kiristyy Temppelivuorella entisestään. PA:n puheenjohtaja Mahmoud Abbas haluaa kansainvälistää väkivaltaisuudet Vuorella, joita hän itse on kiihottanut.
Hän informoi arabiliittoa asiasta, joka saamansa väärennetyn tiedon perusteella tuomitsi Israelin kehottaen sitä välttämään tilanteen kärjistämistä. Abbas on myös soitellut useille arabijohtajille valittaen Israelin poliisin hyökkäyksistä Al-Aksaa ja muslimirukoilijoita vastaan Temppelivuorella. A 44-year-old Israeli citizen from Shefa-'Amr tried to join the Islamic State by crossing the border to Turkey and then to Syria. However, she was caught by the Turkish authorities, which sent her back to Israel.

In a documentation of the incident, published by a Palestinian media outlet, one of the soldiers is seen taking the camera from one of the reports and smashing it on the ground.
An additional soldier is then seen coming out of the IDF vehicle, approaching the Palestinian colleague of the reporter whose camera was taken and breaking another camera belonging to the crew.
In the video, the soldiers are seen trying to keep the reporters away from the scene, using force.
According to one of the reports, the crew members had introduced themselves as reporters and stopped filming when the soldiers told them to. Nonetheless, he claims to have been pushed to the ground while being threatened with a weapon. The reporter was slightly injured and taken to the hospital.
The IDF spokesperson issued a statement in response: "The incident is being investigated by the IDF. An initial examination suggests that force did not act as expected and against protocol. Disciplinary measures will be taken against the soldiers."

It will be further investigated and lessons will be learned."

Ryhmä tunnusti mainitun murhan lisäksi kaksi muuta, epäonnistunutta, murhayritystä. Poliisi ja IDF on myös pidättänyt eräitä muita tapauksiin liittyneitä epäiltyjä terroristeja. Tapauksen tiedotussulku purettiin eilen maanantaina.

Brother of terror victim Henkin: It's 'sick' to ask if terrorists took mercy on the children

Yagil Henkin, the brother of Eitam Henkin, who was shot and killed in last week's terror attack near the Itamar settlement in the West Bank, spoke out Tuesday in an interview with Army Radio, describing the moment he learned of the murder of his brother and his sister-in-law, Naama. Henkin also discussed the state of the Henkin's four children, who were present in the vehicle when terrorists murdered their parents.
Henkin's comments came a day after the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) announced that security forces had arrested members of a Hamas cell responsible for the attack. An investigation into the attack found that the four children were likely not hurt because one of the terrorists accidentally shot one of his partners, and they were forced to flee.
"Dealing with the question of whether the terrorists took mercy on the children seemed sick to me. There is a lot of history of terror in Israel, and there are many cases in which the children are the targets of the terrorists. The attempts to credit them for the fact that they only murdered the parents and not the children - that seemed ridiculous," he told Army Radio.
"To fixate on the fact that they killed the parents and not the children? Neither me nor you murders children on a daily basis, and we don't need to be praised for that fact. The terrorists are not Mother Teresa. Now it has become clear that this wasn't an attempt by the terrorists to send a message, violence is not a language," he added.
Yagil Henkin learned the news of his brother's murder from a friend, who learned the details of the attack before him: "I heard about the terror attack in a text message from a dear friend, who was sure that I already knew. He wrote me that it was difficult and that he would be there for me. I saw the message. A minute beforehand my mother had called me, saying there was a terror attack and that she couldn't get a hold of my brother. But I didn't know that he was in the Itamar area, so I didn't make the connection that he was involved."
"While I was still trying to figure it out, I got the message from my friend and it was clear what it meant. I asked him to confirm that my brother and sister-in-law were murdered, and from there I found out that it was true. My mother was in a similar situation afterward. When they told me and the family, it was already cleared for publication. My brother-in-law received an official announcement an hour before, but I didn't get an official announcement," he added.
Henkin said that their were flaws in the system used to send official announcements to next of kin. "It was a malfunction, and I found out from other people in similar situations that this problem has happened repeatedly. The information should be coming to the families from the police."
Speaking of his nieces and nephews, who are now orphans after the terror attack, Henkin said that they were "smart children and they are behaving in accordance with their age." He said that the children were staying with their grandparents.
The Shin Bet announced on Monday that a Hamas terrorist cell from Nablus was behind the murder of the Henkins as they drove near Itamar with their four children.
The suspects said that on the evening of October 1, two of them drove on the road near Itamar and selected a spot from which they would open fire on an Israeli vehicle.
Other suspects gathered at the site, with one operative moving ahead of them to ensure the road was clear of security forces.
“After receiving confirmation that the road was ‘clean,’ the shooting cell set off in their car, identified a vehicle belonging to the Henkin family and opened fire. After the [victims’] car stopped, two members of the cell got out of their car, and fired again, from very short range, on those in the vehicle,” the Shin Bet said.
At this stage, Razak was accidentally shot, dropping his handgun at the scene. It was recovered by security forces. The cell fled to Nablus, 5 km. away.
The suspects admitted to taking part in two other shooting attacks including the August 30 shooting and wounding of Shavei Shomron settlement resident Ronen Adri near the Jit junction, next to Kedumim.

The terrorists whose homes were destroyed were responsible for several deadly Jerusalem attacks, including the Har Nof synagogue murders.
Acting on orders from Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon, an IDF Engineering Corps unit demolished the homes of two terrorists from Jerusalem early on Tuesday, and sealed the home of a third terrorist.
The units, operating together with the Israel Police, destroyed the homes of Muhammad Jabis and Jamis Bin Muhammad in Jerusalem, and sealed the home of Muataz Hijazi.
Jabis ran over civilians with a bulldozer in the capital on October 4, 2014, murdering Rabbi Avraham Wallas, and injuring seven more civilians. The terrorist was then shot dead by Israel Police officers.
Bin Muhammad, together with Udi Bin A'abad, burst into a synagogue in Jerusalem's Har Nof neighborhood on November 18, 2014, and murdered four Jewish worshippers in an axe attack.
The terrorists then shot dead Israel Police officer Zidan Sayaf, who responded to the shooting and attempted to stop the attack. Both terrorists were killed in a subsequent exchange of fire on the scene with police.
Muataz Hijazi carried out a terror attack on October 29, 2014, in which he shot and critically injured Jewish activist Yehuda Glick as he left the Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem.
He was killed in a gun battle with special forces on October 30 on the roof of his home in Abu Tor, east Jerusalem.
"The IDF will continue to act on orders from the government, while cooperating with other security bodies, and will not hesitate to take all legal steps at its disposal to harm terrorists and the elements that support them, to deter them from carrying out further attacks," the military said in a statement.
