Peskov explained how Putin manages to maintain a tough schedule
VLADIVOSTOK, September 7. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin maintains a sporty lifestyle and always remains at the peak of concentration, even when he only manages to sleep a few hours a day. This was stated in an interview with TASS at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) by Dmitry Peskov, the Russian president's press secretary.
Since August 31, Putin has been on a visit to China, then visited Vladivostok to participate in the EEF, and on Friday evening, September 5, he visited the Samara Region.
When asked how the president manages to maintain such a schedule and whether sports help him with this, Peskov noted: "Of course, he can't do sports on such trips."
"To be honest, sometimes it's hard for me to understand where he gets so much strength from. Then - he is always at the peak of concentration. And he sleeps several hours a day, without exaggeration. I can't understand this either," the press secretary noted. According to him, sometimes the head of state has "even less" than four hours a day to sleep.
"But, of course, when he is in Russia, he tries to exercise constantly, every day," Peskov emphasized.
In an interview with VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin, he also mentioned that Putin, when traveling with a large time difference, "tries to live by both Moscow time and local time." "And in the end, he sleeps several hours [per day]," the press secretary added.
