Pertti Salolainen on raivostunut Suomen ulkoministeriölle: "Tulin ulkomaita myöden perusteetta leimatuksi natsiksi."
Kokoomuksen kansanedustaja, entinen ministeri ja suurlähettiläs Pertti Salolainen on tuohtunut.

Tuoreessa Kanava-lehdessä Salolainen kuvaa merkillisen tapahtumasarjan, jossa hänestä tehtiin ensin Suomessa ja sitten maailmalla juutalaisvihamielinen natsi.

Suomen ulkoministeriön roolia Salolainen luonnehtii "skandaaliksi ja pohjanoteeraukseksi".

Suomen Washingtonin-suurlähettiläs Ritva Koukku-Ronden osuus on Salolaisen mielestä "aivan uskomaton".

Suurlähettiläs on "nöyristellyt" ja pyydellyt Simon Wiesenthal -keskukselta anteeksi asioita, joita ei ole tapahtunut.

Kaikki alkoi marraskuussa 2012, kun Salolainen totesi Ylen Aamu-tv:ssä sen usein ennenkin eri yhteyksissä mainitun näkemyksen, että Yhdysvalloissa juutalaisväestöllä on "sekä rahat että media käsissään aika paljon". Avainsana oli "aika paljon". Se ei tullut mukaan, kun Yle teki aiheesta nettiuutisen.

Uutinen levisi nettisivustoilla ja muun muassa Jerusalem Postiin.

Suomen juutalaisten äänitorvi Gideon Bolotowski muun muassa kehotti IS:ssa Salolaista vaihtamaan yöpöydältään pois Siionin viisaiden pöytäkirjat ja Mein Kampfin, "joissa juutalaisten maailmanherruus on kovasti esillä".

Johan Bäckman kiirehti tekemään poliisille ilmoituksen, että Salolainen on esittänyt näkemyksen "pahasta juutalaisesta salaliitosta", joka hallitsee Yhdysvalloissa pankkeja ja mediaa.

Natsirikollisia jahtaava Simon Wiesenthal -keskus vaati selvitystä Suomen Washingtonin-suurlähetystöltä ja edellytti, että Suomen hallitus erottaa Salolaisen kaikista poliittisista luottamustehtävistä.

UM:ssa vastaus tehtiin virkatyönä. Salolaisen mukaan ulkoministeri Erkki Tuomioja ei sitä nähnyt ja pitää sitä epäonnistuneena.

"Skandaali ja pohjanoteeraus"

Koukku-Ronden allekirjoittamassa kirjeessä pahoitellaan Simon Wiesenthal -keskukselle aiheutunutta mielipahaa ja kuvaillaan laajasti, kuinka monin tavoin virallinen Suomi on tuntenut sympatiaa holokaustin uhreja kohtaan.

- Nämä ovat tärkeitä asioita, joita tietenkin kannatan, mutta miksi ne olivat siinä kirjeessä, jossa vastattiin minua koskevaan, virheellisestä uutisoinnista liikkeelle lähteneeseen asiaan, Salolainen kysyy Kanava-lehdessä.

- Sanon suoraan: UM:n osalta kyseessä on skandaali ja pohjanoteeraus. Vastauksesta puuttuu asiallisuus ja suomalaisen parlamentaarisen demokratian kunnioitus.

Salolainen odottaa anteeksipyyntöä Simon Wiesenthal -keskukselta ja kaikilta irvailijoilta.

Diplomaattilähteiden mukaan Israelin ilmavoimat iski Irakissa sijaitseviin iranilaiskohteisiin.
Israel on laajentanut Iranin-vastaisia iskujaan Irakiin, kertoo The Times of Israel viitaten Asharq Al-Awsat -uutissivustoon.
Nimettöminä esiintyvien länsimaisten diplomaattilähteiden mukaan Israelin ilmavoimat iski heinäkuussa kahdesti iranilaisiin ase- ja rakettivarastoihin Bagdadin pohjoispuolella, jossa sijaitsee Iranin tukeman shiia-järjestön tukikohta.
Israelin puolustusvoimat ei ole kommentoinut asiaa.
Israel ei ole tehnyt pitkään aikaan iskuja Irakissa. Viimeisin raportoitu isku Irakissa on vuodelta 1981.
Israel tekee säännöllisesti iskuja Syyriassa tuhotakseen Iranin rakettilähetyksiä libanonilaiselle Hizbollah-äärijärjestölle, joka on Israelin vihollinen.
Lähteiden mukaan israelilainen F-35-hävittäjä hyökkäsi shiiojen tukikohtaan Irakissa 19. heinäkuuta. Israelin kerrotaan hyökänneen tukikohtaan uudestaan viime sunnuntaina, jolloin kohteena oli Iranista saapunut rakettilähetys. Iranilaisten neuvonantajien sanotaan loukkaantuneen.
Israel on tehnyt satoja iskuja Syyriassa Iranin vallankumouskaartia ja sen tukemaa Hizbollahia vastaan sen jälkeen, kun Syyrian sisällissota alkoi vuonna 2011.
Israel pyrkii estämään rakettilähetysten toimittamisen Hizbollahille ja iranilaisjoukkojen linnoittautumisen maan rajojen lähelle.

Troops along the border with Gaza thwarted an infiltration attempt by four Palestinians armed with AK-47 rifles, RPG launchers and hand grenades, shooting them dead as one of them hurled a grenade at the soldiers, the Israel Defense Forces said early Saturday.
The four Gazans were killed by Israeli soldiers who “opened fire once one of the terrorists scaled the fence,” the military said in a statement, adding that a hand grenade was launched at the troops during the clash but none of the soldiers were injured.
Israeli troops “opened fire after one of the terrorists scaled the barrier and hurled a grenade at the soldiers,” the army said.

The IDF said lookout troops spotted the cell approaching the fence from the area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, and alerted soldiers stationed nearby.
One of the four had crossed the fence into Israel, and the other three were in the process of crossing the border when they were stopped, Israel’s Channel 13 news reported later Saturday.
The infiltration appeared to have been carefully planned, with the quartet heavily armed, including with anti-tank rockets. Palestinian media reported that some or all of the four were former Hamas terrorists.
Shortly after the incident, Israeli aircraft targeted an outpost operated by Palestinian terror group Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, near Deir el-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, in response. Gunfire was also heard near the Israeli border community of Kissufim close to where the infiltration attempt occurred, according to reports in the Hebrew-language media as well as Palestinian press.

The incident comes as organizers of Friday’s weekly protests and riots this week along the Israel-Gaza border called them off due to the upcoming Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, which begins on Sunday. Last Friday, some 6,000 Gazans took part in the protests.
