The company behind Ukraine's new 'superweapon' is to start production in Denmark
According to a confidential email in DR's possession, production is expected to start on December 1st.

Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen (V) has long announced that Ukrainian defense companies are on their way to starting production in Denmark.
Now DR can tell who one of the companies is and where it will be located.
This is the company FPRT, founded by Fire Point, the company behind Ukraine's brand new long-range "flamingo" cruise missile, which they allegedly recently used to
hit an FSB base in Crimea .
A missile that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky
has called Ukraine's "most successful."
The production will take place just across the fence from Skrydstrup Air Force Station, where the Danish F-35 fighter jets are based.
This is stated in a confidential email circulated among ministries and agencies, which DR has obtained. It also states that production is scheduled to begin on December 1st of this year.
Here you can read that FPRT will produce solid rocket fuel.
Solid rocket fuel ignites quickly and can deliver a powerful and stable combustion, making it suitable for missiles and military purposes, among other things.
Unlike liquid rocket fuel, it does not need to be refueled just before launch, and it is easier to handle and store.
The "flamingo" missile in particular uses solid rocket fuel.

The email further states that they will use the
new controversial law , which gives the government unprecedented power to disregard other laws and citizens' rights to complain if a project serves essential national defense or civil emergency purposes.
The law is due to be voted on next week and is expected to come into effect from mid-September.
- The purpose of the hearing is to ensure that all ministries and agencies with relevant areas of responsibility have the opportunity to submit comments and assess whether there are additional regulations that must be waived in order for the company to be established and start production on December 1, 2025, the email states.
The company FPRT has already been granted a Danish CVR number. A
Danish website has also been set up , where the company writes that it is "underway with a major project" where it is "establishing modern production facilities in Vojens".
- We design and manufacture parts for rocket engines. We test and approve our products at special testing facilities located in a different location than where production takes place.
- Our work supports programs that are very important for Denmark's defense, they write.
'Can cause violent explosions'
When producing solid rocket fuel, it is important that industrial hygiene is in control, says Peter Hald, a chemist and safety manager at the Department of Chemistry at Aarhus University, and who also works with explosions in the Danish Armed Forces.
- The production itself must take place under orderly conditions. Safety distances must be maintained for both production and storage.
"It's not like it will ignite at the slightest spark, but if a fire does occur, chain reactions can occur that can lead to violent explosions. This places demands on the local fire and rescue services," he says.
He says that the advantage of solid rocket fuel is that once it is produced, it can be stored for a long time, transported around, generally treated harshly and still be operationally reliable.
- In a military context, it means that it works when you need it.
Peter Hald could imagine that the Danish defense could use the fuel to produce rockets for the new Puls rocket launchers that Denmark has purchased from Israeli Elbit.
- It is a type of ammunition that is not difficult to produce, but which must be used in large quantities, he says.
DR has attempted to get a comment from FPRT and Fire Point. They have not responded to our inquiry.
DR has also tried to get a comment from Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen (V) without success.
