Report: US arrested senior level ISIS terrorist in Iraq
American Security Forces succeeded to capture a senior level ISIS terrorist in Iraq who was responsible for terrorist recruitment in Europe. The report has not yet been officially confirmed by the US.

The Coalition Forces registered another achievement against the murderous terror organization known as ISIS. The Russian News Agency reported that American Special Forces imprisoned one of the most senior level ISIS terrorists.


According to the report, Abu Omer Al Shishani is one of the main recruiters for terrorists operating in Europe. He was caught alive by the American Forces in Kirkuk, Iraq.

Abu Omer, known as the Chechen, is a native of Georgia who fought in the Russian-Georgian War in 2008 and he is considered one of the founders of the ISIS terror organization. The US State Department placed a $5 million price on his head. However, the US has still not officially confirmed the operation.

At the same time that it was reported that Abu Omer was captured, the BBC reported that the Iraqi Military completed the liberation of Ramadi from ISIS. The operation occurred eight months after the city that is located along the Damascus-Baghdad Highway was occupied by the murderous terror organization.

Baghdadi claims ‘infidel nations’ are afraid of ‘final war’

Supporters of the Islamic State have released images with translations of excerpts from Abu Bakr al Baghdadi’s new speech.

The Islamic State has released a defiant new speech by Abu Bakr al Baghdadi. In the new audio message, which was posted online on Dec. 26, Baghdadi claims the West and its allies are afraid of an apocalyptic showdown in Iraq and Syria. He dares the US to wage a ground war.

The “Christian Crusaders and infidel nations,” with the “Jews behind them,” do not “dare come to the land to fight a small group of mujahideen,” Baghdadi says, according to a translation obtained by The Long War Journal.

The “infidels” have “learned that it is the final war, and after it, Allah permitting, we will strike them, and they will not strike us.” Once his enemies are defeated, Baghdadi says, “Islam will rule the world…until Judgment Day.” It is for this reason that the Islamic State’s foes supposedly “delay their arrival as much as possible.”

Instead of fighting the “caliphate’s” soldiers directly on the ground, Baghdadi claims the US and its allies dream of annihilating the Islamic State using “agents,” including “the Awakenings, apostates, the heretic Kurds, and herds of rejectionist cattle.”

The “Awakening” is a reference to the US-backed Sunni tribes that rose up against the Islamic State’s predecessor organization, al Qaeda in Iraq, during the height of America’s involvement in the Iraq war. The Islamic State’s leaders have expanded the term to include even rival jihadist organizations that reject Abu Bakr al Baghdadi’s claim to rule over the entire Muslim-majority world.

Baghdadi acknowledges that his “caliphate” is fighting against the “whole world,” but says no one should be surprised if his jihadists are victorious, because this would be a sign of Allah’s will. He also leaves open the possibility that his followers will “face even greater misfortunes,” as Allah has promised adversity for the true believers.

Baghdadi blasts the recently announced Saudi-led anti-terrorism coalition, which is intended to thwart the “caliphate’s” designs. If the alliance was truly Islamic, Baghdadi argues, then it would have announced its war on the Alawites in Bashar al Assad’s regime and their “Russian masters.” The alliance also should have announced “its disavowal of its Jewish-Crusader masters and made its objective killing Jews and the liberation of Palestine,” according to Baghdadi.

“Stand up against the tyrant and apostate people of [the Saudi coalition] and champion your brothers in the Levant, Iraq, Yemen, Afghanistan, the Caucasus, Egypt, Libya, Somalia, the Philippines, Africa, Indonesia, Turkestan, Bangladesh, and everywhere,” Baghdadi tells his audience. The Islamic State has either established a presence, or is attempting to, in all of the locations he mentions.

The “caliphate’s” leader insists that all Muslims are confronted by a “Jewish-Crusader-Safavid alliance that is led by America and was devised by the Jews.” From Baghdadi’s perspective, the Crusaders include America, Europe and Russia. Safavid is a derogatory word that is used to describe Shiites and Iran. All of these parties have come together in a coalition to supposedly wage “war on Islam and Muslims.”

Muslims around the globe must support his project, Baghdadi argues, because it is “the spearhead in the conflict between the camp of belief and the camp of non-belief.” He sees “proof” of the “caliphate’s” divine mandate in the fact that “all of the forces of the infidels and apostates in the entire world” have “agreed to wage war on the Islamic State.”

Baghdadi tells his followers that the war between the Islamic State and the rest of the world is necessary, because it will leave the world divided into two camps. In the camp of faith, no hypocrite will be left standing. In the camp of hypocrisy, Baghdadi says, no believer will be found.

Despite the formidable opposition his men face, the Islamic State’s jihadists should be “confident in Allah’s victory.” The more “hardships” the Islamic State “suffers,” Baghdadi claims, the more its “ranks become ever more whole,” “stronger,” and “more resolute.”

Baghdadi knows that his organization has suffered some significant losses in Iraq and Syria over the course of the past year. But he urges his followers to be “patient,” for Allah has supposedly promised them victory in the end.

US-led coalition targets Islamic State’s ‘external attack planners’ in airstrikes

A senior Islamic State “external attack planner” in Syria had ties to members of the terrorist cell responsible for the Nov. 13 massacre in Paris, including Abdelhamid Abaaoud, who is pictured here.

The US-led coalition in Iraq and Syria has targeted several members of the Islamic State’s external operations arm in recent weeks, according to a US military spokesman who briefed reporters earlier today. The jihadists were allegedly plotting new attacks in the West.

“Over the past month we’ve killed 10 ISIL leadership figures with targeted airstrikes, including several external attack planners, some of whom are linked to the Paris attacks,” US Army Colonel Steve Warren, the spokesman for Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR), said according to Reuters. (The US military uses the acronym ISIL, as in Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, when discussing the Islamic State.) According to Warren, some of these leaders “had designs on further attacking the West.”

Warren named the “external attack planners” who are believed to be dead. One of them is Charaffe al Mouadan, who was struck down on Dec. 24.

Al Mouadan was a “Syrian-based leader with a direct link” to Abdelhamid Abaaoud, who has been identified as the “Paris attack cell leader.”

Abaaoud is a notorious Islamic State fighter who was featured in the group’s propaganda months prior to the terrorist assault on Paris, which left 130 people dead and many more wounded. [See LWJ report, Key suspect in Paris attacks has been featured in Islamic State propaganda.]

Abbaoud was killed during a French counterterrorism raid on Nov. 18, after being identified as one of the prime suspects.

“Al Mouadan was actively planning attacks against the [W]est,” according to Warren, who vowed that “as long as ISIL external attack planners are operating,” the US Military “will hunt them and kill them.”

Investigators have reportedly found ties between Al Mouadan and other members of the Paris terrorist cell as well. According to VICE News, authorities identified Al Mouadan as a suspect after they heard one of the attackers at the Bataclan concert hall, where 89 people were killed, mention someone named “Souleymane.”

French officials identified “Souleymane” as Al Mouadan, who was friends with one of the Bataclan gunmen, Samy Amimour. MetroNews first reported that Amimour and Al Mouadan were “childhood friends” and, along with a third man, charged in October 2012 with “conspiracy to prepare acts of terrorism.” Al Mouadan and Amimour initially wanted to “wage jihad in Yemen or Afghanistan,” but that plan apparently fell through.

Amimour and Al Mouadan made their way to Syria in 2013. Amimour returned to France sometime before the terrorist operation on Nov. 13 and blew himself up at the Bataclan.

Abdul Qader Hakim, who was killed in an airstrike in Mosul on Dec. 26, “was a veteran fighter and forgery specialist who had links to the Paris attack network, who also was part of ISIL’s external operations group who enabled attacks against Western targets,” according to the Defense Department’s summary of Warren’s briefing. “His death removes an important facilitator with many connections in Europe,” Warren said.

Three other jihadists who were recently bombed also served in the Islamic State’s external operations wing.

Tashin al Hayali, killed near Mosul on Dec. 27, was “an external operations facilitator.” Another “external operations facilitator,” Rawand Dilsher Taher, “was a trusted ISIL member who assisted with command and control and handling and transferring money and equipment.” Taher was killed near Raqqa on Dec. 7. And a “Syria-based” Bangladeshi named Siful Haque Sujan was also struck down near Raqqa on Dec. 10. Sujan “was an external operations planner and a United Kingdom-educated computer systems engineer,” according to the Defense Department’s summary. Sujan “supported ISIL hacking efforts, anti-surveillance technology and weapons development.”

“Now that he’s [Sujan] dead, ISIL has lost a key link between networks,” Warren claimed.

French President François Hollande has said that the massacre in Paris was “planned in Syria, organized in Belgium, [and] perpetrated on our soil with French complicity.” Assuming the details offered by Warren are accurate, then it appears that Hollande was right about the terrorists receiving assistance from operatives located in Syria.

In addition to the five jihadists in the Islamic State’s external operations arm, Warren identified five other Islamic State leaders who were successfully targeted this month.

Khalil Ahmad Ali al Wais (also known as Abu Wadhah) was the Islamic State’s emir for the Kirkuk province in Iraq and “had a long history of targeting US and Iraqi forces.” Wadhah was killed near Huwayjah, Iraq on Dec. 7. Abu Anas (an Islamic State “bomb cell facilitator”), Yunis Khalash (also known as Abu Jawdat, who was the Islamic State’s “deputy financial emir in Mosul”), Mithaq Najim (the “deputy emir in Kirkuk province”) and Akram Muhammad Sa’ad Faris (an Islamic State “commander and executioner”) were all killed between Dec. 8 and Dec. 12.

Terroristijärjestö Isis on julkaissut sunnuntaina videon, jossa se uhkailee Britanniaa, kertoo uutistoimisto AFP. Videolla surmataan viisi miestä, joiden kerrotaan vakoilleen Britannian hyväksi ja olleen mukana kansainvälisessä Isisin vastaisessa taistelussa Irakissa ja Syyriassa.

Bittiaksentilla puhuva mies sanoo videon olevan viesti Britannian pääministerille David Cameronille. Britanniaa uhataan myös terrori-iskuilla.

Britannian ulkoministeriö on ilmoittanut olevansa tietoinen videosta ja tutkivansa sen sisältöä.

Pentagon officials claim that at least 25,000 Islamic State fighters have been killed (an anonymous official said 23,000 in November, while on Wednesday, Warren added “about 2,500” more were killed in December.) Remarkably, they also claim that alongside the 25,000 fighters killed, only 6 civilians have “likely” been killed in the seventeen-month air campaign.

At the same time, officials admit that the size of the group has remained wholly unchanged. In 2014, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) estimated the size of the Islamic State to be between 20,000 and 31,000 fighters, while on Wednesday, Warren again repeated the 30,000 estimate. To summarize the anti-Islamic State bombing calculus: 30,000 – 25,000 = 30,000.

^^ Mielenkiintoinen uutinen tuo Baghdadin viesti. Kun tuo sotaonni näyttää kääntyneen, niin meillä ei ole juurikaan hätää, niin kauan kun nuo puhuvat koraanin opetusten viimeisestä taistelusta, jonka jälkeen muslimit johtaisivat maailmaa.

Nyt vaan lisää höpinää pönttöön ja lisää rautaa niskaan, nöyryyttävään tappioon saakka. Josko se viimeisen taistelun häviäminen saisi taas useamman muslimin harkitsemaan koraanin totuutta.

Irakin tekovaltio piti pääkaupungin hallussa vain Usan tukikohdan ansiosta. Nyt jenkit pommittaa kaiken mitä Irakin joukot osoittaa, koska venäjä pelästytti. Tämän vuoksi menestystä. Ongelma on että vain niin kauan kuin kolmas osapuoli varmistaa on Irak olemassa. Taleban ajettiin ulos afganistanista ja edelleen porskuttaa. Odottaa vain tilaisuutta. Isis on nyt sielläkin. Talebanin ja Isiksen ero on että Isis on globaali. Sitä ei todellakaan ilmasta tuhota sanoi propaganda mitä tahansa.

Jokerina pakassa on Iran. Irakista on tulossa Iranin siirtomaa, mutta kovin vastahakoisesti Iran on isistä vastaan täysillä lähtenyt. Se tulisi sotkemaan pakkaa entisestää koska Saudit yms ja varmaan tietävät tämän.

Jos sodankäynti on kallista niin nyt se on nostettu uudelle tasolle, kun isketään käteistä vastaan:
"Yhdysvallat on suorittanut ilmaiskun, jolla tuhottiin ISIS-järjestön käteisvarasto Irakin Mosulissa. Iskusta uutisoi ensimmäisenä CNN, joka luonnehtii sitä ”äärimmäisen epätavalliseksi”. Nimettöminä pysyttelevien amerikkalaisten puolustuslähteiden mukaan iskussa tuhottiin ainakin miljoonien dollareiden edestä jihadistien käteisvaroja. Iskua kuvataan hyvin riskialttiiksi. Käteisvarasto ja jakelupiste sijaitsi keskellä tiheää siviiliasutusta ja Yhdysvaltojen lennokit seurasivat sitä päiväkausia jotta siviiliuhreilta vältyttäisiin. CNN:n lähteiden mukaan Yhdysvallat piti kohdetta niin tärkeänä, että hyväksyttävien siviiliuhrien määräksi oli asetettu 50. Ennakkoarvioiden mukaan aamuhämärässä sunnuntaina suoritetussa iskussa menehtyi kuitenkin viidestä seitsemään siviiliä. Isku on merkki Yhdysvaltojen muuttuneesta pommitustaktiikasta. Siviiliuhreja ollaan jatkossa valmiita sietämään aiempaa enemmän ja lisäksi iskuja kohdistetaan aiemmin huomiotta jääneisiin kohteisiin, joilla on taloudellista arvoa ISIS-järjestölle."

Itse en kyttäisi mitään taloudellisia kohteita, vaan keskittyisin henkilöstöön. Jos havaitaan joku teknikaali jossa on ukkoja kyydissä, niin sallisin siihen iskemisen oikeastaan millä tahansa lentopommia pienemmällä aseella, vaikka siinä olisikin vaara, että joku muukin auto ottaa osumaa.

Daeshinit ovat epäilemättä saaneet lisäjoukkoja, mutta jotenkin minusta tuntuu, että jenkit ovat toimineet turhan varovaisesti ja iskeneet pelkästään erityisen tärkeisiin maaleihin, kun olisivat ihan yhtä hyvin voineet iskeä ihan pelkästään elävään voimaan. Ei ole varmaankaan mitään haittaa jos ottaa ne irtonaiset ukot reunoilta pois.


En tiedä miten daeshinit toimivat "hallitsemillaan" alueilla ja onko joka kylässä joku daeshini joukko, mutta kyllähän siellä joku noiden välillä kulkee, jos ei muuta, niin keräämässä suojelurahat ja rekrytoimassa lisää väkeä. Joten mitähän tapahtuisi, jos alkaisi iskemään noihin "veronkerääjiin" ynnä muihin tyyppeihin, jotka liikkuvat paikasta toiseen. Daeshinit joutuisivat kulkemaan isompina joukkoina ja olisivat silloin parempi maali. Tai jos ne koettaisivat liikkua salassa ja pienessä porukassa, niin voisi levittää huhua asiasta, ja mainita että näillä on suuria summia käteistä hallussaan tai sitten luvata palkkion jos joku vinkkaa näiden liikkeistä. Luulisi hajottavan daeshinien touhuja.

Basrassa shiiat toistensa kimpussa, armeija paikalle divisioonan voimalla:
"Irakin tärkeimmän öljykaupungin Basran läheisyydessä kiihtyneet levottomuudet ovat saaneet armeijan reagoimaan voimakkaasti. Armeija on lähettänyt panssaroidun divisioonan rauhoittamaan Irakin eteläosassa sijaitsevan satamakaupungin tilannetta.
Divisioona on asevoimien yksikkö, jossa on yleensä 10 000 - 20 000 sotilasta.
Basrassa yhteenottoja on ollut alueen eri shiiamuslimiryhmittymien välillä.
Helikoptereiden tukemat ja panssaroiduilla ajoneuvoilla liikkuvat sotilaat tekevät kotietsintöjä ja takavarikoivat aseita. Viranomaisten mukaan kätköistä on löydetty mm. konekivääreitä, kranaatinheittimiä, sinkoja, rynnäkkökivääreitä ja suuria määriä ammuksia.
Noin 30 ihmistä on pidätetty.
Turvallisuusviranomaisten mukaan armeijan operaatio alkoi Basran pohjoispuoliselta heimoalueelta, missä yhteenottoja on ollut paljon. Operaatio leviää myöhemmin myös kaupunkialueelle.
Irakin tuottamasta öljystä suurin osa kuljetetetaan maailmalle Basran sataman kautta. Maan johto haluaa välttää kaikki häiriöt maalle välttämättömässä öljykaupassa.
Toistaiseksi häiriöitä öljynviennissä ei ole ilmennyt, eivätkä tapahtumat ole vaikuttaneet öljyn hintaan, joka tällä hetkellä on hyvin alhaalla."
