Consistent, long-term, well-planed and implemented by the book. That is how we can describe the three year long fruitful cooperation and partnership between Maritime Region Unit of Polish Border Guard tactical team and its partner from Finnish Border Guard. Since the beginning in 2009 Polish and Finnish guards took part in numerous training operations including firearms training, maritime interceptions with use of high speed rigid inflatable boats and helicopters in the Baltic Sea. Cooperation and exchange of experiences is still growing and it will be continued in following years.
Despite the fact that the Polish Border Guard cooperates with the Border Guard of Finland for much longer, the genesis of cooperation between the two formations in the context of conducting special operations dates back to 2008 when it began talks on the possibilities of joint actions between the officers of the special sub-units. In 2009, the Maritime Border Guard division commanders of branches of a visit by the Finnish Border Guard: Capt. Markku Hassinen, commander of the Gulf of Finland, and Capt. Henrik Wärnhjelm, commander of Division West Finland (Suomen Länsi-merivartiosto). During the run of Admiral Peter Stockim SG, commander MOSG, arrangements agreed on bilateral cooperation plan for future years, which included training in special operations. After approval by the Commander in Chief of the Polish Border Guard, the time for its implementation.
Year 2009
The first few days visit to the Finnish MOSG SG officers were in the end of September and October 2009. Presented them with the tasks of the Marine Branch of the SG, organizational structure and technical equipment used to perform the tasks of both land area and in the protection of the sea border, and to exercise supervision over the Polish maritime vessels using Polish SG. A large emphasis given to information relating to activities in marine areas, resulted from the typical "water" WZD MOSG specificity. It should be emphasized that this is the only one in the country this type of subdivision of a police character, who by virtue conferred by the Polish Border Guard Border Guard Act and the Act on the Protection of inland and sea ports of allowances received the mandate to carry out such activities.

Week training was divided into two parts. The first goal was to familiarize the Finnish delegation to the tasks WZD MOSG in urban areas - a tactic the black, and in particular the forcing inputs wyłomowego using equipment and the use of ballistic shield in passageways (staircase, corridors). The second part focuses on the activities carried out in the marine environment
