The Armed Forces continue to repel an attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to invade the territory of the Russian Federation.
Over the past 24 hours, active actions by units of the Sever group of forces and approaching reserves, strikes by army aviation and unmanned aerial vehicles, and artillery fire in the areas of the settlements of Tolpino, Zhuravli, and Obshchy Kolodez have prevented attempts by enemy mobile groups to break through on armored vehicles deep into Russian territory. Four armored personnel carriers, including three US-made Stryker armored personnel carriers, seven armored combat vehicles, and two automobiles have been destroyed.
As a result of missile strikes and artillery fire on concentrations of manpower and equipment of units of the 22nd, 41st, 115th mechanized, 80th, and 82nd airborne assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of Staraya Sorochnitsa, Korenevo, Sudzha, and Borki, the enemy lost 35 servicemen, five tanks, four armored combat vehicles, and three automobiles.
An attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to break through to the Belovsky District of the Kursk Region has been thwarted. In the areas of the settlements of Ozerki and Ivanovsky, army aviation destroyed two tanks, an armored combat vehicle, a field artillery gun and two vehicles with ammunition.
A strike from an Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system destroyed a self-propelled launcher of the Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system in the area of Lyubimovka.
Near the city of Lebedin in the Sumy Region, three launchers were hit and an AN/MPQ-65 radar station of the US-made Patriot anti-aircraft missile system was destroyed. Aviation and missile troops struck reserves of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Sumy Region.
Air defense systems over the Kursk Region shot down four Tochka-U tactical missiles and 14 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles.
Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 230 servicemen and 38 armored vehicles, including: Seven tanks, three Stryker armored personnel carriers, an infantry fighting vehicle, 28 armored combat vehicles, as well as seven automobiles, four field artillery pieces, a self-propelled launch vehicle of the Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system, three launchers and an AN/MPQ-65 radar station of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system.
In total, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the enemy lost up to 1,350 servicemen, 29 tanks, 23 armored personnel carriers, nine infantry fighting vehicles, 116 armored combat vehicles, 20 automobiles, three self-propelled launch vehicles of the Buk M1 anti-aircraft missile system, three launchers and an AN/MPQ-65 radar station of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system, a launcher of the Grad multiple launch rocket system and 10 field artillery pieces.
