Quisling nr 1, former DE chancellor Gerhard Schröder today delivered the most compelling proof that Russia's war in Ukr. is failing. Schröder was seen in Moscow a few days ago and the reason for his visit has now been revealed.
Schröder in fact had been summoned to a meeting in Moscow with his master, the fascist dictator Vladimir Putler, and tasked to convey a message to Europe and Germany that Ru is willing to negotiate over Ukraine.
In a paywalled interview in "Stern" (summary here in "Spiegel"
LINKKI ) Schröder says that Putler is willing to negotiate an end to the war. The Ru dictator offers "peace" on condition that he can keep Donbass and Krym, and that Ukraine stays out of NATO.
In fact, it's a "Minsk 3", and nothing more. And just as weak and useless. This is a very important moment and neither Ukraine nor the democratic West should for one second be tempted to accept these terms.
Putler does not want peace. A peace agreement would only give fascist Russia an opportunity to regroup, retrain, resupply, before the war resumes. Germany's position is central. Scholtz and his minions must be forced to understand this.
The peace offer, with quisling Schröder as go-between, is proof that Russia's war is close to collapse. We in the West and Ukraine must hold out. Keep delivering weapons. Ukraine can win this war.

Schröder believes a "negotiated solution" with the Kremlin is possible
After his visit to Moscow, the controversial former chancellor, Gerhard Schröder, is optimistic that talks can persuade Russia to end the war. He sees Germany as having a duty.

In Germany, former Chancellor Gerhard Schröder has been criticized for his close ties to Russia. The SPD politician maintained contact with the Kremlin even after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
He recently traveled to Moscow again – and said he met Russian President Vladimir Putin there.
After the talks, Schröder now believes that there is still a chance of a diplomatic solution to the military conflict. "The good news is that the Kremlin wants a negotiated solution," said Schröder in an interview with the magazine "
stern " and the broadcaster "RTL/ntv".
The recently reached agreement between the warring parties on grain exports from Ukraine is an "initial success" that could perhaps "slowly be expanded into a ceasefire," said the ex-Chancellor. With a view to the currently decommissioned Nord Stream 2 Baltic Sea pipeline, the former head of government spoke out in favor of commissioning. This would be "the simplest solution," according to Schröder. The pipeline is "complete" and should also flow through the Nord Stream 1 gas pipe, "there would be no supply problem for German industry and German households."
Schröder sees responsibility at Siemens
In view of the current supply failures, which, according to Russia, are due to a missing turbine, Schröder blamed the Siemens group. The fact that only 20 percent of the normal amount of gas is currently flowing through Nord Stream 1 "is Siemens' responsibility, if I see it correctly," he said. In doing so, he contradicted Berlin's representation that Russia was only using the missing part as an excuse to curb gas supplies.
Siemens has brought the turbine for Nord Stream 1, which has been much discussed in recent weeks,
from maintenance in Canada to Mülheim an der Ruhr , said Schröder. "I don't understand why it's there and not in Russia." According to Schröder, "the Kremlin has not made any political announcement to throttle the flow of gas," but rather it is a "technical and bureaucratic problem."
The former chancellor has long been
criticized within the party for his closeness to Putin and the Russian oil and gas industry . Schröder once again described the war as a "mistake by the Russian government", but at the same time defended his contacts with Moscow. "But why would I stop having conversations that are legal and don't get me and my family in trouble?" he asked in the interview.
Schröder mentions concessions by Ukraine
It was "a big mistake to denigrate possible concessions by Ukraine as a Russian 'dictated peace' in advance," said Schröder. He said the really relevant issues could be resolved, including a compromise for eastern Ukraine's Donbass region and the question of a possible "armed neutrality" for Ukraine as an alternative to NATO membership.
In the interview, Schröder emphasized that, from his point of view, the Black Sea peninsula of Crimea – which Russia had annexed in 2014 – was lost to Kyiv. "The notion that Ukrainian President Zelenskyy will recapture Crimea militarily is absurd," he said. “Who seriously believes that a Russian president could ever give up Crimea again?”
Praise for Turkey and Erdoğan
Schröder expressly praised the mediation efforts of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the conflict. "But it won't work without a yes from Washington," said Schröder, referring to the US government's position.
According to critics, even from his own party, Schröder has not sufficiently distanced himself from Russia after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February. Next Monday, the arbitration commission of the SPD sub-district Region Hannover wants to
decide on a possible party expulsion. However, the legal hurdles for a party penalty or even an exclusion are very high. The committee's decision probably does not mark the end of the party's internal proceedings, because those involved can appeal.
