10-year-old rescued from ISIS: "I thought you'd never come"
Teary-eyed and exhausted after 3 days without food and water in the desert, 10-year-old Aysha was filmed seconds after Iraqi soldiers rescued her from ISIS. "I can kiss your feet (…) ISIS took so many kids from my village, we don't know what happened to them," Aysha told her rescuers.

Aysha, a 10-year-old girl, was wandering the desert for 3 days with no food or water after she escaped ISIS from her village near Mosul, Iraq. The girl burst into tears as she saw the Iraqi Army soldiers and thanked them. "I thought you'll never come to save us," she told the soldiers. The touching video was caught by one of the cameramen at the scene and published by the British Daily Mail.
"I didn't have water or food for 3 days, my father was killed by the terrorists,” Aysha told the soldiers who rescued her. “ISIS took so many kids from my village. We don't know what happened to them, some are dead. ISIS forced my mother to give them her money and jewels. Thank you, thank you."
Aysha escaped from the village Kafer, which is 28 kilometers (approximately 17 miles) from Mosul, where the coalition forces are fighting ISIS for control of the city. As she made it to the rescue forces, news reporters at the scene managed to capture the touching moment.
Aysha was wearing a faded, tattered shirt from days of walking the desert. She tried to hold back the tears as she bravely told her rescuers of what she's been through over the last months while her village was under the control of ISIS. Aysha held on to the soldiers who found her. She was so thankful she offered to kiss their feet.
