Yli kymmenen vuoden takaa asiasta tehty kysymys eu:ssa. Miksi eu rahoittaa rasistisia koulukirjoja.
Se on vuodelta 2001 ja löytyy netistä.. Vuodelta 2003 on ulkoasiainministeriön sivuilla juttu : Palestiinan koulukirjat eivät sisällä rasismia. Joko kirjat vaihtuivat 2001 ja 2003 tai sitten ei. Um kertoo juttunsa nojaten israelin palestiinan yhteistutkimukseen.

Outoa koko homma,koska en usko henkilökohtaisesti että siellä koulukirjat vaihtuvat jatkuvasti. Nyt tuo uusin juttu on tältä vuodelta, ja asiassa ei ole mitään uutta. Kun tutkii tarkemmin huomaa, että koulukirjat pitkin lähi-idän muslimimaita on ollut enempi tai vähempi rasistisia vuosikymmeniä.Joissain ei koko Israelia ole ollut kartoilla ollenkaan. Se ehkä selittääkin nyt osaltaan tätä konfliktia ja asenteita. Minkä pienenä oppii sen vanhana taitaa. Eipä ole tullut moinen mieleenkään ennen.

Public suspicion of Iran-backed Hezbollah triggered a rain of rockets from Lebanon while Gaza-based militants took advantage of the chaos with rocket salvos and a subterranean cross-border ambush/kidnapping of two Israeli soldiers. In short order, Israel was waging a two-front air war that threatened to escalate to the Syrian front, where Hezbollah was battling al-Qaida insurgents in support of the Russian-backed Assad regime.

Within hours, it spread to US shores, where network glitches disrupted power, halted Wall Street trading and shut down air traffic at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and other hubs. The White House declared a national state of emergency after some 700 perished in a crash landing at Washington’s Dulles and a similar event at Chicago’s O’Hare. Frenzied diplomacy failed to arrest the spiraling crisis, with Russia and China demanding a cybernetic smoking gun as precondition for concerted UN Security Council action.

For its part, Hezbollah continued to deny any role in the initial cyber-terror attacks, while Tehran insisted the Iranian server traced by US intelligence to a site in California was actually hijacked by the Israelis in attempts to ignite an anti-Shia regional war. Defying US warnings, Russia deployed a battalion of troops near Damascus to safeguard Syrian chemical weapon sites. In parallel, a Russian flotilla with S-300 intercepting batteries and other gear was en route to its naval base in Tartus with orders to defend the Syrian port town and other critical assets from Israeli aggression.

Ei tarvitse olla sionisti tajutakseen, että Israelilla ei ole vaihtoehtoa monessakaan asiassa. Joskus mietin, millä ilveellä se on onnistunut sitkoilemaan viidenkymmenen miljoonan vihamielisen arabin ympäröimänä sillä pläntillä. Ja jos ajattelee, että 1967 Saab Safiritkin pudottelivat pommeja, on turha puhua mistään Wall Streetin raharikkaiden salaliitosta.

Suomessa ei 1960-1980-luvuilla saatu asiallista infoa alueelta. Eikä vieläkään. Pusu-Jasserista tehtiin joku rauhanenkeli, kutsuttiin kylään ja naiset hymyilivät. Mutta kaikki sovittelut ja rauhanneuvottelut Libanonissa olivat silmänlumetta. Aina kun oli paiskattu kättä, räjähti sopivasti jossain... Luota siinä sitten, löydä se puhumisen yhteys...

Sinällään Israel on koko maailman ruutitynnyri. Sieltä se iso palo lähtee, jos on lähteäkseen. Ja kaikki muslimit eivät palestiinalaisongelmaa halua ratkaista. Siitä on näyttöä. Siinähän menisi paras kiihotusväline Amerikkaa ja Israelia vastaan samalla.

Se, onko Israel astunut ylimielisyyden ja ahneuden pettävään maastoon, mikä näkyisi vaikkkapa siirtokuntakysymyksessä, on toinen juttu. Heidän on se asia selvitettävä itse. Sitä asiaa ei istuteta ulkopuolelta.

Tuohon lisäisin, että ei noilla tuo kiihotus amerikkaa tai israelia vastaan ole mikään itsetarkoitus, vaan sen tarkoitus on estää maailmaa muuttumasta. Euroopassa ja muualla kuningaskunnat ovat luhistuneet ja vaikka kuninkaita vielä jossakin olisi, niin kuninkaat ovat muuttuneet, eikä näillä ole enää oikeastaan mitään valtaa. Voitte kuvitella, että mitä tuo tarkoittaa arabijohtajalle. Tai ei oikeastaan tarvitse kuvitella, onhan noita aina välillä sattunut...

Israelin pääministeri ei osallistu Mandelan muistotilaisuuteen
Israelin pääministeri Benjamin Netanjahu on päättänyt jättää Etelä-Afrikan entisen presidentin Nelson Mandelan muistotilaisuuden väliin kustannussyistä.

Israelin pääministeri Benjamin Netanjahu on päättänyt, ettei aio osallistua tiistaina järjestettävään Etelä-Afrikan entisen presidentin Nelson Mandelan muistotilaisuuteen. Israelilaisten medioiden mukaan matka Etelä-Afrikkaan olisi tullut liian kalliiksi.

Netanjahu oli jo ilmoittanut Etelä-Afrikan viranomaisille tulostaan, mutta perui matkan viime hetkellä kustannussyistä. Pelkästään Netanjahun kuljetus- ja turvallisuuskulut olisivat tulleet maksamaan noin 1,5 miljoonaa euroa.

Israelin pääministeri on viime aikoina joutunut kiusalliseen tilanteeseen, kun kävi ilmi, että veronmaksajat maksoivat viime vuonna Netanjahun kolmen residenssin ylläpidosta yli 730 000 euroa.

Tovia Luskin, the CEO of Givot Olam, reports that Meged 5 is now estimated to contain 3.5 billion barrels of oil – one seventh of all oil in Qatar. (Abir Sultan)

An Israeli oil well has been reported to contain a much larger reserve than originally estimated. The oil exploration company, Givat Olam, has now increased its estimate to 3.53 billion barrels of oil and has already sold $40 million worth of oil from the site.

While Israel is now facing a bright future as an oil producer, there is one problem: Meged 5 is located on the Green Line, the official border between Israel and Palestine. Lying a few dozen meters inside Palestinian territory, according to international law and the Oslo Accords, the well should belong to Palestine.

In answer to this problem, Israel has adjusted the path of its separation barrier, bringing Meged 5 onto its side of the wall. While the well is now under de facto Israeli control, most of the reserves lie under Palestinian territory.

Ariel Sharon, former Israeli prime minister, dies at 85

Sharon, a controversial military leader, launched a long and tumultuous political career that culminated in the disengagement from Gaza. He died after eight years in a coma at Tel Hashomer hospital in Tel Aviv.

Former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon died Saturday after a significant deterioration in his medical condition over the past two weeks. Sharon, who was 85, was comatose for past eight years.

On January 4, 2006, Ariel "Arik” Sharon was at the height of his political power: His newly founded Kadima party had just beat the rival parties to a pulp in pre-elections polls, which predicted it securing 40 Knesset seats in the approaching election.

Then in a single moment, the 78-year-old Sharon fell from the political stage, suffering his second serious stroke within two-and-half weeks and bringing his electoral blitz to a halt. Israel's prime minister was brought to Jerusalem's Hadassah University Hospital in Ein Karem, and his illness soon became the focus of world attention in the frenzied 2006 Israeli elections campaign.

Everyone had expected Sharon, the controversial military and political leader, to substantially push forward the peace process with the Palestinians, the primary reason he had left the Likud party and established Kadima.

The 24-hour visit by German chancellor Angela Merkel to Israel this week came as relations between the two countries hit rock bottom. According to a report in Der Spiegel magazine last week, Merkel and Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu have been drawn into shouting matches when discussing by phone the faltering peace process.

Despite their smiles to the cameras during the visit, tension behind the scenes has been heightened by an diplomatic bust-up earlier this month when Martin Schulz, the president of the European parliament and himself German, gave a speech to the Israeli parliament.

Israel has warned the Lebanese government that it would be held responsible for any retaliation by Hezbollah after this past Monday’s airstrike by the Israeli Air Force that struck areas held by Hezbollah near the Lebanese-Syria border. The Washington Post reported that “Hezbollah said it would ” choose the right time and place and the proper way to respond.” Israel is prepared to strike targets in Lebanon associated with Hezbollah strongholds. “An unspecified number of Hezbollah militants were killed in the airstrike, according to pan-Arab news channel Al Arabiya” the Jerusalem Post said in their report which also stated Israel’s position on the matter:

Raketit olivat Iranista lähtöisin,mutta Made in Syria. Nyt kysymys kuuluu kenelle ne oli tarkoitettu. Iran laittoi Hamasin rakettiaseistamisen jäihin kun Hamas otti kantaa syyrian kapinallisten puolesta ja Hamasin äärimielisempi osa lähti jopa taistelemaan kapinallisten riveihin. Vaikea kuvitella että Assad laittaisi kotimaisia raskaita raketteja Hamasille.

Tuo ensimmäinen uutinen että menossa Gazaan on harhaanjohtava. Laivahan oli menossa Sudaniin jonka kautta kaikki Iranin aseet kulkevat. Iranilla on vähän ristiriitainen tilanne. Se sotii Al-qaedaa vastaan Syyriassa,mutta toisaalta antanut tukevia kommentteja Muslim brotherhoodille taistelussa Egyptin armeijaa vastaan. Olisko tuo raketti lasti osoitettu niille. Viimevuonna on uutisoinut mm Jerusalem Post näin :

Following the fall of Muslim Brotherhood president Mohamed Morsi from power in Egypt, Iran and Hezbollah are seeking closer relations with the Brotherhood, the Lebanese newspaper As-Safir reported.
Recent changes in the region including the restarting of Israel-Palestinian negotiations, the troubles related to the Syrian war and the international and Arab opposition to the Brotherhood in various Arab countries, have led the “resistance axis” to “rearrange the relationship between Iran and Hezbollah, and the Muslim Brotherhood.”

The Islamic Republic and the Lebanese terrorist organization both identify with the Shi’ite sect of Islam while the Brotherhood is a Sunni movement.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in a meeting of the Iranian National Security Council, deemed what happened in Egypt as distressing and dangerous and that it would have negative repercussions on the Islamic reality. He said that no matter what mistakes the Brotherhood has made during its time of leadership in Egypt, it should not lead to the end of the Islamic revival in the region, referring to the Arab uprisings. Iran must support this revival and reengage, he said according to sources quoted in Tuesday’s report.
Iranian officials have already begun holding intensive meetings with prominent leaders in the international Brotherhood organization to deal with outstanding issues, though it also wants to keep channels open with the new Egyptian leadership.
In recent weeks, meetings were held between Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas in Beirut and Tehran in order to come to an agreement to strengthen political and military cooperation despite differences over the conflict in Syria.
These efforts are being made to outline a new strategy that will look for points of convergence between the parties of the resistance and newly elected President Hassan Rouhani will promote unity among the resistance forces and try to stop sectarian strife in the region.
