MG3 vs sakujen uusi H&K MG5.

Vaan todellisuus on jotain tätä luokkaa

Videosta: "Die maximale Kampfentfernung mit Zweibein ist so beim MG5 400 Meter gröser als beim MG3: 1000 statt 600", eli MG5:n max tst-etäisyys bipodilla, ja optisella tähtäimellä, 1000m.

1200 on MG3:n tulinopeus.

1200 on MG3:n tulinopeus.

Tehokas kantama200-1200 m
Tulinopeus (laukausta/min)1 150

Effective firing range200–1,200 m sight adjustments
Maximum firing range600 m (1,969 ft) (bipod)
1,200 m (3,937 ft) (tripod mounted)
3,000 m (9,843 ft) (gun carriage)
3,750 m (12,303 ft) (terminal)
Rate of fire1,000–1,300 rpm[7]
Missä se tehokas ampuma etäisyys nousee 400 m verrattuna MG3?

Joka MG3.lla on jalustalla 1200m.
Ja MG5:den tulinopeuskin on vain 800 ( MG3 ~1200)

Ps

The USMC have released an announcement offering some more details on the contract and their hopes for the new ammunition. The Corps is looking to make significant weight savings with the new ammo also likely leading to the adoption of polymer ammo cans to replace current steel ones and nylon links rather than metal ones. In theory lightening the load of Marines.

“Polymer ammunition meets the same specifications for effectiveness as the brass ammo,” said Lt. Col. Bill Lanham, MCSC’s deputy program manager for Ammunition. He continued “polymer ammo gives Marines the opportunity to carry more ammunition or make trades with what gear is important to carry during combat.”

The Marine Corps is also keen to stress the logistical and practical benefits of the new ammunition citing less fuel, vehicles and logistical effort needed to move the lighter ammunition while the polymer may also aid in minimising parts breakage and wear according to said John Carpenter, assistant
program manager for engineering with PM Ammunition.

The Navy will partner with the Marine Corps to further advance their lightweight case and link development
for a solution. While the US Army also continues to investigate polymer cased ammunition both inside and outside of its flagship Next Generation Squad Weapon small arms program.

Per the contract with MAC Technology, Marine Corps System Command will receive a small quantity of polymer ammunition in the fourth quarter of fiscal years 2020 and 2021. This will allow Marines to assess the ammunition and to increase familiarity with and “validate the polymer rounds during an Operational Validation scheduled for the third quarter of fiscal year 2021.” It is hoped that the round will begin fielding in 2022.

This marks a significant step towards the mainstream adoption of hybrid polymer cased ammunition and John Carpenter notes that what we’re seeing “is not a quick surge of new technology, but the work of engineers, project officers and logisticians for the past decade.”

The story of IWI US begins in 1933 when Israel Military Industries (IMI) Ltd. began firearms production in Israel under the British Mandate.
Kyllä Israelin valtion perustamista aloitettiiin jo ennen 1.maailmansotaa. Kannattaa tutustu Israelin historiaan.

alue.
Miksei se voinut olla juutalainen asetehdas koska juutalaisia alkoi muuttaa sinne jo 1800-luvun lopussa.
Wikistä:
The first wave of modern Jewish migration to Ottoman-ruled Palestine, known as the First Aliyah, began in 1881, as Jews fled pogroms in Eastern Europe.
The Second Aliyah (1904–14), began after the Kishinev pogrom; some 40,000 Jews settled in Palestine, although nearly half of them left eventually.
The Third (1919–23) and Fourth Aliyahs (1924–29) brought an additional 100,000 Jews to Palestine. The rise of Nazism and the increasing persecution of Jews in 1930s Europe led to the Fifth Aliyah, with an influx of a quarter of a million Jews.

"It is ironic that IMI was founded in circumstances very similar to those in which Hamas currently operates. In 1933, the Jewish paramilitary Haganah organisation opened a mortar factory hidden inside a leather tannery in Tel Aviv. The Haganah hoped that the smell of chemicals being used to process the leather would keep British Mandate troops and the Palestine Police Force away. Later factories were equally inventive; the paramilitary group’s largest bullet factory was built underneath a kibbutz, which according to some accounts was built entirely for the purpose of concealing Jewish underground activity. These weapons were used by Haganah and its partners to attack British troops and police officers, and some attacks which targeted civilian administrators and facilities. Haganah also provided weapons to Irgun and the Stern Gang terrorists for the Deir Yassin and other massacres of Palestinian civilians.

This initial mortar workshop was situated almost directly on Tel Aviv beach, where Haganah, amongst other units within the Jewish Resistance Movement, was busy helping illegal Jewish immigrants enter British-run Palestine by sea. This was no straightforward task; the British had a naval blockade in place, much as the Israeli Navy now maintains one off the coast of Gaza, and early Jewish resistance groups spent a great deal of time working out ingenious ways to smuggle in people, supplies and weapons.

Making copies of Sten guns and inventing their own models, the operation was professional but limited by the British. Haganah leader Eliyahu Sacharov later converted the illegal weapons workshop into a full manufacturing plant, developing and testing hundreds of its early weapons, but not before he was thrown into prison by the British authorities for four years. Just as the military wing of Hamas will one day form the core of a Palestinian army, in 1948, the former militants of Haganah formed the backbone of the Israel Defence Forces"

Out on the FN booth, on a pedestal all of its own, was the new FN Mk48 Mod. 2 6.5CM light machine gun, chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, it was a response to a US Special Operations Command tender for a version of the 7.62×51 Mk48, a larger calibre variant of FN’s Minimi (or the M249 normally chambered in 5.56×45).

Seuraavassa kk.ssa pitäisi olla ilman muuta tuo Sullivanin "constant recoil" ominaisuus.
