Lada Largus sales restricted due to steering wheel difficulty
MOSCOW, November 9. /TASS/. Sales of commercial Lada Largus vehicles have been temporarily restricted at dealerships since October 21. This decision was made pending the completion of an analysis of data on steering wheel difficulty, component testing, and materials analysis, according to the press service of Rosstandart.
The agency explained that Rosstandart, at the request of the National Automobile Union, sent a request to AvtoVAZ regarding the possible non-compliance of Largus vehicles with the requirements of the Customs Union Technical Regulation "On the Safety of Wheeled Vehicles."
Rosstandart reported that AvtoVAZ notified the agency of measures being taken to prevent potential risks associated with steering wheel difficulty on Lada Largus vehicles. Specifically, sales of all commercial vehicles of this model have been restricted since October 21, 2025, pending the completion of an analysis of the received information, component testing, and materials analysis.
The agency also clarified that warranty repairs are carried out upon customer inquiries. All repairs performed to date have been deemed successful, and no repeat inquiries have been received from vehicle owners.
It is also noted that AvtoVAZ specialists, working with the power steering supplier, are continuing to analyze and identify the causes of any potential discrepancies.
