Trumpin mielipide erikoissyyttäjän nimittämisestä oli taas hieman erikoinen. Erikoissyyttäjän asettaminen vahingoittaa maata ja osoittaa maan olevan kahtiajakautunut. Toisaalta vielä pari päivää sitten presidenttiä vastahakoisesti tukeneen senaattorii Grahamin mukaan nyt on kyseessä rikostutkinta.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, leaving the senators' briefing with Rosenstein, said Thursday he believes the Russia investigation is "now considered a criminal investigation."

"Congress' ability to conduct investigations of all things Russia has been severely limited, probably in an appropriate fashion," the South Carolina Republican said, as a result of Mueller's appointment. He added he wasn't able to ask specifically if it was now a criminal probe "but the takeaway I have is, everything he said was that you need to treat this investigation as if it may a criminal investigation."

Käytävillä mm. Republikaani Graham sanoi päätelleensä, että Venäjä tutkinta on nyt muuttunut selväksi rikostutkinnaksi.

Trump ei ole twiitannut seitsemään tuntiin mitään. Sitä ennen kaksi twiittia. Mm. Ei Clintonin ja Obaman rikoksia varten koskaan mitään erikoiskomitetoita nimetty. Sitä edeltävässä twiitissä kertoi aikamme suurimmasta noitavainosta.

No huhhuh. En vieläkään käsitä mitä tekemistä Obamalla, EU:lla, "liberaalivihervassareilla" ja Gibraltarilla on Trumpin toimien kanssa.

Ei tässä ole kyse puoluepolitiikasta vaan USA:n kansallisesta turvallisuudesta ja sitä myötä koko maailman vakaudesta. Mulle kelpaa ainakin USA:n pressaksi ihan hyvin niin republikaani kuin demokraattikin jos on vain rehellinen, suunnilleen järjissään ja maltillinen ulkopoliittisissa linjauksissaan.

Mutta joo, kaikki on vihervassarien salaliittoa FBI:n tutkimuksia myöten.

Sticking with Trump to the bitter end and pretending the unfolding chaos is just "fake news" won't save your reputation as the walls close in. It won't ease the judgment of history. It won't do anything to polish up your future Wikipedia entry.

Investigators on the House intelligence committees have obtained access to valuable data from the Treasury Department, a development that will open their doors to investigate possible connections between President Donald Trump's business empire and Russians, CNN has learned.
Investigators received access to the financial data this week, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the development.

Sen. Mark Warner, the top Democrat on the Senate intelligence committee told reporters Thursday that his committee also had gotten the Treasury Department data.
The Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network -- or FinCEN -- monitors global financing and frequently investigates money laundering. The agency collects data from banks around the world and is a critical source in identifying how shell companies move money.
"While I cannot confirm any briefings or requests made by the House Intelligence Committee, I will say that examining financial records and transactions is absolutely crucial to our investigatory effort," Rep. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Russia investigation, told CNN Thursday....

Maailma on siirtynyt epävakaaseen aikaan jo kauan sitten, mutta se on kyllä ihan varma asia että Trump ei todellakaan ole vakauttava voima, eikä siitä sellaista tule edes vahingossa ja hyvällä tuurilla

Se ei ole mikään yllätys että Obaman seuraaja on Obaman vastakohta, sillä juuri niin USA toimii ja on aina toiminut....mennään äärilaidasta toiseen ja sitten ihmetellään kun paska lentää ja balalaikka soi.

Olin aikoinaan sitä mieltä että Obama oli väärässä paikassa väärään aikaan, nyt siellä on mies joka on vielä enemmän väärässä paikassa vielä enemmän väärään aikaan...saavutus se on toki sekin.

Voi hyvinkin olla että Trump tekee ihan hyvää USA:n sisäpolitiikalle, sillä joskus on hyvä ravistaa, että alkaa sakka liikkumaan.

Ulkopolitiikalle ja erityisesti muille länsimaille Trump on myrkkyä ja sitä myrkkyä niellään vielä kauan sen jälkeenkin kun Trump on poistunut tai poistettu kuvioista.

Sillä ei ole lopultakaan mitään merkitystä, onko Trump Putinin sätkynukke vai eikö ole. Trump antaa pelitilaa Venäjälle, Kiinalle, Turkille ja kumppaneille tahtoen tai tahtomattaan ja se on huono diili länsimaille.

Harvardin tutkimus osoittaa kuinka negatiiviseksi Lännen media on muodostunut Trumpin valtakaudella.

A major new study out of Harvard University has revealed the true extent of the mainstream media’s bias against Donald Trump.

Academics at the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy analyzed coverage from Trump’s first 100 days in office across 10 major TV and print outlets.

They found that the tone of some outlets was negative in as many as 98% of reports, significantly more hostile than the first 100 days of the three previous administrations:

Attorney Sheri Dillon said she saw no need for Trump to sign his 2016 personal financial disclosure because he is filing voluntarily this year. But OGE director Walter Shaub said his office would only work with Dillon if she agreed to follow the typical process of having Trump make the certification. That is standard practice for the thousands of financial disclosure forms OGE processes each year.

The Associated Press obtained the letters under a Freedom of Information Act request.

"As we discussed, OGE will provide this assistance on the condition that the President is committed to certifying that the contents of his report are true, complete and correct," Shaub wrote in a May 10 letter. "When we met on April 27, 2017, you requested that he be excused from providing this certification."

In her letter to Shaub, Dillon says the president will "sign and file" documents regarding his 2016 financials by mid-June — an indication that she agreed to the OGE requirement that the president certify the information as true to the best of his knowledge.

Tässä katsauksessa kohdennetaan tutkivaa silmää kohti Mike Penceä. Pencehän on monessa mielessä persoonaltaan Trumpin vastakohta. Ja saattaisi olla varmaan ihan ok pressa (en tunne miestä entuudestaan).

Mutta, harmittavasti voidaan todeta, että Pencen kohdalle on tullut jo monta tapausta, jotka viimeistään nyt jälkikäteen ovat paljastuneet valehteluksi Pencen taholta. Mitäpä veikkaatte, montako sivua saadaan aikaan Trumpin ensimmäisen (ja ainoan?) presidenttikauden loppuun mennessä? Nykyisen tilaston perusteella veikkaan 1500 sivua, vaikka ihan varma en voi ollakaan.

Vertailun vuoksi Ukrainan konflikti/sota -ketju on kerännyt vajaa 1700 sivua runsaassa kolmessa ja puolessa vuodesssa. Aikamoinen saavutus, jos yksi presidentti puhuttaa yhtä paljon kuin Venäjän aloittama sota.
