KRASNODAR, May 19. /TASS/. Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that attacked the Slavyansk oil refinery in the Krasnodar Territory on Sunday night carried charges with striking elements in the form of steel balls. This was reported to TASS by the director for integrated security of the Slavyansk ECO group of companies, Eduard Trudnev.
“This time the UAVs were larger, they carried much larger charges, and they were also filled with destructive elements in the form of steel balls,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
Trudnev also said that the plant had suspended operations after the fall of the drones and that the damage was being assessed. “After the UAVs arrived, work was stopped,” he said.
He clarified that investigative measures are currently being carried out at the scene of the emergency.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that air defense forces shot down 57 UAVs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the Krasnodar Territory overnight. The head of the Slavyansky district of Kuban, Roman Sinyagovsky , reported that six drones fell on the territory of the refinery.
