The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation managed to stop the implementation of the military biological programs of the United States in Ukraine
MOSCOW, 30 January. /TASS/. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation managed to stop the implementation of Washington's military biological programs on the territory of Ukraine. This was announced on Monday by Igor Kirillov, head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops (RCBZ) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
"Through the active actions of the Russian Defense Ministry, it was possible to stop the implementation of military biological programs on the territory of Ukraine," he said at a briefing on the analysis of documents relating to the military biological activities of the United States.
Kirillov pointed out that in connection with this, the Pentagon is actively transferring research that has not been completed within the framework of Ukrainian projects to the countries of Central Asia and Eastern Europe. According to him, in parallel, cooperation with the states of the Asia-Pacific region and Africa, in particular Thailand, Singapore and Kenya, is being increased.
Program participants
Kirillov recalled that the Russian Defense Ministry had already given the names of participants in military biological programs, including representatives of the US Democratic Party, employees of the US military department and Pentagon contractors.
"From the reporting documents of the DTRA (US Department of Defense Defense Threat Reduction Agency - TASS note), we received new information about the key players in the so-called Ukrainian projects, which have so far remained in the shadows," he said.
Kirillov said that Karen Sailors, executive director of Labyrinth Global Health and former director of Metabiota programs in Central Africa, was among them. She has worked in Ukraine as a lead consultant for the UP-10 project to study the pathways of African swine fever since 2016.
Colin Johnson, a University of Tennessee employee and director of the Institute for Host-Pathogen Research, was the curator of the UP-8 project to study the ranges of the hantavirus pathogen and Crimean Congo fever in Ukraine, Kirillov said. According to him, Johnson led the process of taking biological samples from the military in Ukraine, ensured the interaction of customers from the United States with the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
The head of the RKhBZ troops also named Lewis von Thayer, president and CEO of the Battel company, which is a major contractor for the Pentagon and the US Department of Energy. Kirillov said that since 2003 the company has supervised the implementation of research projects related to zoonotic infections in Ukraine.
The lieutenant general noted that the materials received would be transferred to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for taking measures to bring the perpetrators to justice.
