Lukashenka’s plane that came under U.S. sanctions was sold to Iran? We noticed that the plane from Lukashenka’s fleet, Boeing 737-800 (reg.number EW-001PA), which came under the U.S. sanctions on March 24, had an unusual flight today.
On March 26 at 15:11 (Minsk time), the aircraft took off from Minsk National Airport under the call sign of the Iranian airline Caspian Airlines – IV2703 / CPN2703, as seen on the public flight tracking services.
Then, when the plane was flying over Kazakhstan, another public online radar started identifying it as Boeing with registration number HZ-ARA from Saudi Arabia due to the fact that the plane was flying with ICAO-code of this country.
This couldn’t be true, as Saudi Boeing HZ-ARA just arrived in Riyadh from Kuala Lumpur.
Boeing 737-800 (EW-001PA) landed at 19:48 (Minsk time) in Iran, at the airport for domestic flights, the Iranian Air Force and government flights of that country – Tehran Mehrabad.
We note that according to our data, the last time Lukashenka flew on this plane was on February 18, 2023. Flying under a different call sign and landing at an “unusual” airport in Iran may indicate that the aircraft was sold.
If that’s true, it’s obvious that the sale deal was not prepared in two days. Did they know about the sanctions in advance?
Anyway, we should note that the plane is quite old, it’s 21 years old, and it’s indeed time to get rid of it.
The thing is that Lukashenka has other planes that have not yet come under sanctions.
