Channels report a large number of Polish and Lithuanian military experts who died in Chernihiv
On the morning of August 20, several Telegram channels at once reported the details of the strike that was inflicted the day before on several objects in Chernihiv. According to the channels, the purpose of the strike was a meeting with the participation of Ukrainian and NATO specialists in conducting hybrid operations using attack drones.
The fact that NATO specialists were under attack in Chernihiv could be judged by the increased frequency of yesterday's flights from Ukraine to Polish Rzeszow. Air monitoring channels reported several such flights, as well as flights from Rzeszow to various cities in Germany, where, apparently, the wounded were transported.
As the channels “This is not the end yet” and “Actually in the Dnieper” write, in Chernihiv, in the building of the Drama Theater on August 19, a meeting of officers of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and NATO from Poland and the Baltic states was held. They discussed issues of protecting the border and countering possible attacks by Russian special forces from the territory of Belarus and Russia.
Next to the Drama Theater is the headquarters of the regional department of the main intelligence department and the reception of the SBU of the counterintelligence department. It is noted that a total of 23 foreign military specialists who arrived from Lviv the day before participated in the meeting. Of the 23, 9 corpses were found under the rubble, the rest are still considered missing, the channels write.
Eleven seriously wounded Polish and Lithuanian officers were taken by ambulance helicopter to Kyiv and from there onboard to Polish Rzeszow. The senior officers and the general were taken by helicopter to Vinnitsa, from where they will most likely be evacuated to Poland and further to Munich or Dusseldorf. A member of the German intelligence service BND, who was in charge of space communications and encrypted data transmission services, assigned to NATO headquarters in Vilnius, has gone missing.
Nearly 40 soldiers from the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were killed. About 75 people were seriously injured.
It is also noted that the low-flying missile caught on video is a Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile, which was unsuccessfully launched to shoot down a Russian missile in the city.
