Statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry regarding yet another barbaric attack by the Kyiv regime on the civilian population of Russia
On the night of March 11, the neo-Nazi Kiev junta once again demonstrated its cowardly terrorist nature by subjecting Russian regions, including Moscow and the Moscow region, to a massive attack with UAVs loaded with striking elements.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, 337 drones were shot down by the air defense systems on duty, including 126 over the Kursk region, 91 over the Moscow region, 38 over the Bryansk region, 25 over the Belgorod region, and 22 over the Ryazan region. Unfortunately, there were casualties. There are many victims, including children.
The Investigative Committee of Russia promptly began an investigation into this crime. The circumstances of the incident are being established. All those involved and responsible for this and other terrorist attacks on our land will be inevitably punished.
The shelling of populated areas in many Russian regions, the merciless and blind killing of their civilians testify to the agony of the neo-Nazi Zelensky regime, mired in terrorism, lawlessness, corruption and cynicism, which in its impotent rage seeks to kill and maim as many innocent people as possible to please its Western masters.
There is no doubt that this drone attack was planned in advance and timed to coincide with the American-Ukrainian contacts on the topic of conflict resolution scheduled for today in Saudi Arabia. It was also a kind of signal to the new OSCE Secretary General F. Sinirlioglu, who arrived in Moscow on a working visit. With such barbaric methods, the Kiev clique, suffering daily defeats on the battlefield, is trying to prove its ability to negotiate "from a position of strength".
In reality, the Zelensky regime, which has lost all touch with reality, has demonstrated a complete lack of political will for peace and a diplomatic settlement of the conflict. It remains obsessed with the idea of defeating Russia, actively using cynical methods of terror and trying to involve its allies in its aggressive actions.
It is obvious that the blame for this terrorist attack lies with all countries that continue to stubbornly and irresponsibly pump lethal weapons into the Ukrainian ruling clique, thereby facilitating its bloody deeds.
The current misanthropic Kiev regime has fully admitted its neo-Nazi and terrorist nature, impotence and inability to negotiate, and has long deserved clear and decisive condemnation from all responsible governments and relevant international structures. Its further support is tantamount to aiding and abetting the crimes committed by the fighters of Zelensky's junta.
