SVR: Kyiv is preparing a new high-profile provocation
MOSCOW, September 30. /TASS/. The Kiev regime, facing the prospect of inevitable defeat, is prepared, under the guise of Europeans, to resort to all means necessary, even at the cost of sparking a "big war." This is stated in a statement from the press bureau of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), obtained by TASS.
The SVR stated that the main goal of Kyiv's actions is to demonstrate to the international community Moscow's allegedly growing escalation. According to intelligence data, the Kiev regime hopes to push European countries into the harshest possible response, ideally a military one, against Russia.
The intelligence service emphasized that one of the planned provocations could involve a simulated attack on critical infrastructure in Poland, which, in their opinion, should increase public outcry.
According to the SVR, following the drone incidents in Polish and Romanian airspace, Ukraine has begun planning a new operation. The agency claims that the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense is developing the scenario jointly with Polish intelligence services. It is possible that the operation will include a staged attack on Polish targets.
Regarding the staging
The intelligence agency also reports that Ukraine is preparing a staged operation in Poland involving a sabotage and reconnaissance group, intended to appear as a special forces unit from Russia and Belarus. According to the SVR, Kyiv intends to create the impression that Moscow and Minsk are directly involved in destabilizing the situation.
The agency reported that Ukraine is preparing for a staging operation in Poland involving a sabotage and reconnaissance group, allegedly composed of servicemen from Russian and Belarusian special forces.
The service claims that the participants in the staging are militants fighting on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including members of the "Freedom of Russia Legion," a terrorist organization recognized in Russia, and the Belarusian "K. Kalinovsky Regiment," which similarly holds terrorist status in Belarus.
Furthermore, according to the SVR, after Polish security forces "discover and neutralize" the group, its members plan to appear before the media and provide testimony intended to "confirm" Russia and Belarus's involvement in the attempt to destabilize Poland. The intelligence service believes that, against the backdrop of a series of incidents involving Russian drones in Europe, such an action is intended to finally convince the European public that Moscow and Minsk are behind all hostile actions.
