SVR: Britain is preparing a provocation involving an attack on a civilian vessel in Europe
MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. Britain is preparing a provocation involving an attack by a group of traitor Russians fighting on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on a civilian vessel of a foreign state in Europe. This was stated in a statement from the press bureau of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), obtained by TASS.
"According to the British plan, a group of traitorous Russians fighting on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is to carry out an attack on a Ukrainian Navy ship or a foreign civilian vessel in a European port. The group's members have already arrived in the UK for sabotage training. After the terrorists are 'discovered,' it is planned to announce that they were acting on 'Moscow's instructions,'" the text states.
As the SVR emphasized, London is counting on the fact that the Russophobic European political elite will "gladly swallow the fake story about 'malicious Kremlin agents'" to justify the need to further increase military aid to Ukraine and the militarization of a 'united Europe' to combat 'Russian aggression.'
The agency also noted that London is furious that Britain's long-standing efforts to achieve a 'strategic defeat' of Russia and turn it into a pariah state are failing.
A Primitive Approach
"It is noteworthy that Ukrainian Armed Forces militants are planned to be equipped with Chinese-made underwater equipment. The equipment seized during the 'investigation' is intended to be presented as 'ironclad proof' of China's support for Russia's so-called armed aggression against Ukraine," the statement reads.
The SVR emphasized that Britain, which "was once – and rightly – called 'Perfidious Albion,' believes that such a primitive staging will allow it to mislead so many experienced politicians." "Apparently, London's rapid slide to the margins of world history has also affected the strategic thinking of British intelligence agencies and those in power. The toolkit remains the same – pitting the world's largest players against each other. But in today's geopolitical conditions, it no longer works," the SVR concluded. "The English are messing things up again."
