The Armed Forces DESTROYED THE RUSSIANS! The battles for Vugledar, where the "elite" Russian marines were destroyed. What is there today?
The last time I was in Ugledar was still at school. From there we boarded a bus and went to a children's camp. The permits were issued by the local mine for the children of its workers. Finding a relative who had access to a mine in Donbas is not a problem at all. That's how they lived.

Now the city wants to be called anything, but not Vugledar. UgleGAR is better. Or even UgleZHAR. In terms of the scale of destruction, it calmly competes with Bakhmut. People drink technical water, which is pumped directly from the basements. This is mine water, you can imagine its quality.

But in winter, we heard about Ugledar for a completely different reason. 72 OMBr in difficult battles "multiplied by zero" the "elite marines" at that time. It was not an easy walk. But these battles will definitely find a place in history.

The confrontation moved to the central part of the city. Battles in dense urban areas take place at minimal distances. In some places, the occupiers and the Ukrainian military are separated by a few meters, which makes defense extremely difficult. At the same time, there are no signs of "shell hunger", which was previously reported in the "Wagner" PMC, here. Instead, note the changes among the personnel of the enemy. Along with other defense forces, Ukrainian border guards continue to protect Bakhmut. "It's better not to sleep, you'll be more alive" — a report from Bakhmut / hromadske
Oleksandr Sokolyuk with the call sign "Sokil" is a captain of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and head of the evacuation department of the 93rd Brigade. He has been taking the wounded from the battlefield for exactly one year. First from near Izyum, for 10 months - from near Bakhmut, and now from the city itself. We saw Sokolyuk in December 2022. Then he took the wounded from near Bakhmut to the stabilization point in the city. At the end of February 2023, hromadske was again in Bakhmut on the street where there was a checkpoint back in December, but this street was already being fired upon by the Russians. Today it is already occupied.
During the time until we saw Sokolyuk, four employees of the medrota died. And a month ago, one of the medics of the brigade, Yara, died on the way to Bakhmut for evacuation. "Sokil" even before did not particularly allow his subordinates to go to the city to pick up the wounded, because they are "young" and "they still have to live." And now he mostly carries out the evacuation from the city himself, even though he is the leader.
hromadske spent the day with captain Sokol. We went to Bakhmut twice and returned twice. We also found a fresh grave in one of the courtyards and several civilians who still remain in the city - despite the fact that the front line is here. Bakhmut himself is like a charred match. And the roads leading to it are cemeteries of broken machinery and cars.
During that day, "Sokil" took 10 wounded and sick soldiers out of the city, the road to which is a constant risk of not reaching or not returning.
When we said goodbye, Sokol was called again to pick up one more wounded and one dead.

When an operator of a combat group was killed during one of the operations in the south, his wounded comrades were forced to leave the body behind when they left. But, leaving the deceased, they well understood that from now on their main task is to bring their comrade back.

"It is an honor for us to take away our fallen brothers. No one stays on the battlefield," says the operator of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who went to look for his fallen comrade.

The area where the body of our soldier was left was under heavy fire from the Russians, and the very attempt to reach that area was a risk. Despite extreme danger, operators of the Special Operations Forces reached their comrade and took his body from under the nose of the enemy.

At the same time as the events on the "T-pattern" in the neighboring part of the front, no less complex battles were taking place. "Cyclops" is one of the most remote and difficult positions of the 2nd K-2 battalion (54 OMBr). And we start a new series of videos about the battles for her.

The enemy tried to transfer his reinforcements to this position, which had to be destroyed in order to prevent the enemy from gaining a foothold.

But due to the difficult topography of the area, the barrel artillery of the battalion could not inflict effective fire damage. That is why our mortars and AGS-men joined in, and they managed to trap the enemy in a narrow ditch on the approaches to "Cyclops". What happened next - see in the video.

The crews of the BTR-4 of the "Spartan" brigade are preparing for battle
Volunteers of the assault units of the 3rd brigade of operational assignment of the National Guard of Ukraine "Spartan" undergo combat training. One of the elements is the training of BTR-4 crews.
They consolidate extreme driving skills, learn life hacks for operating weapons, and improve interaction on the battlefield.
