Hell after the assault: fighters of the 3rd OShBr are entrenched in positions under heavy enemy fire

Dramatic video footage from the GoPro camera of a soldier of the Third Assault Brigade, taken during the group's consolidation in the positions taken. Events develop on the approaches to Andriivka near Bakhmut. The fighters of the brigade are under intense enemy fire: artillery and mortars cover the trenches on all sides, drones with drops and fpv are working intensively from the sky. Shells burst at close range.

The video shows how attack aircraft from the trenches break through to the M113, which replaced a new group of fighters who have to hold their positions. The armored car is supposed to take the stormtroopers off the battlefield, but it breaks down and does not move. The fighters are forced to leave Mku in a flash and hide from the shelling. Some of the soldiers are wounded, in particular, the fighter whose camera captures the course of events is also injured.

Despite the extremely dense enemy shelling in which they had to work, the attack aircraft performed the assigned task: they managed to hold positions and gain a foothold on them.

HARD BATTLE: The 47th brigade holds the defense of Avdiyivka, the enemy is many times more numerous

Footage of this fight from a GoPro camera in October 2023 flew around the world. In that video, we saw a complex battle on one of the hottest areas of the front. The company, headed by the well-known Ukrainian film director, screenwriter and writer Oleg Sentsov, held defenses in a forest strip near Avdiyivka.

The team of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade made a documentary film about the day. The press officer of the brigade, Anastasia Blyshchyk, spoke with the participants of the battle, and the fighters of the 47 OMBr attack UAV company provided videos from reconnaissance and attack drones.

Punisher: Ukraine's Homemade Drone Attacks Russians in Donbas Region

Inside Ukrainian drone school teaching pilots to target Russian forces

Ukrainian officials have given Forces News rare access inside a centre that is training hundreds of people to fly the cheap kamikaze drones that have been used to great effect against their Russian opponents.

Drones have become a vital weapon of the war, supplementing regular artillery, and volunteers have set up drone schools across the country to teach soldiers and civilians how to fly them.

Hundreds of men and women are being taught how to use small, cheap uncrewed aerial vehicles to seek and destroy Russian targets, wearing a headset that lets them see what the drone is seeing.

Russian Prisoners of War Reveal Why They Came to Ukraine

Kyiv Post journalist Anna Neplii recently visited the Zahid-1 camp for Russian prisoners of war where she spoke to some of Moscow’s troops who came to fight in Ukraine

.As well as seeing the conditions they’re kept in at Ukraine’s only POW camp, she also gained some startling insights into why some of the men did – and didn’t – want to go to war.

For some of the POWs, their future is highly uncertain – some have not yet been included on POW lists compiled by international organisations and others say they have no chance of returning home as they’ve already been branded as traitors for surrendering.

One even claimed that the Russian Ministry of Defense was denying a soldier by his name had ever existed.
