With this slogan, I addressed the commanders of the air forces of the NATO countries a year ago, urging my colleagues to create a strong aviation coalition, the closed skies over Ukraine and the need to strengthen Ukrainian air defense were discussed with our partners on the eve of a full-scale invasion, because everyone understood how important it is to hold the skies clean Therefore, we have carried out a lot of preparatory measures in order to withstand the blow and give a decent rebuff to the enemy's air attack.
The battle for the sky continues. The enemy attacks us 24 hours a day with bombs and missiles, conducts aerial reconnaissance, strikes every night with attack drones. The Air Force, side by side with the anti-aircraft defense of all the Defense Forces of Ukraine, repels blows. As far as possible, destroy the means of air attack of the enemy, hit the enemy from the air, keep the defense on the ground.
In two and a half years, the Air Force destroyed more than 8,000 enemy air targets: hundreds of planes and helicopters, thousands of cruise missiles and drones. Ukrainian pilots flew more than 20,000 sorties, most of them for the combat use of air weapons.
All this became possible thanks to the powerful support of our Western partners. I thank them for their conscious position in the defense of peace and democracy, our people!
High-quality and skillful use of modern Western weapons, the soldiers of the Air Force showed great courage, heroism, professionalism and ingenuity.
During the large-scale invasion, 4,475 Air Force servicemen were awarded state awards, 47 of them became Heroes of Ukraine, 25, unfortunately, posthumously...

Life and death in Krynky

Vasyl spent 72 days in Krynk, celebrated his birthday and the New Year there. Yurii spent 25 days in Krynyky, but in 2023 he got married, and his wife forced him to return home for the first joint New Year's in 2024. 6. elokuuta 2024 erikoisjoukkojen "Artan" aktiivisen toiminnan yksikkö ja Ukrainan puolustusministeriön tiedustelupalvelun merikeskus toteuttivat operaation Mustanmeren pohjoisosassa.

Yöllä erikoisjoukkojen maihinnousuryhmä laskeutui Tendrivska kosalle ja tuhosi vihollisen panssaroidun kaluston, mukaan lukien MT-LB, vihollisen elektronisen sodankäynnin järjestelmän sekä tuhosi venäläisten linnoitusrakenteet.

Taistelun aikana venäläiset miehittäjät kärsivät henkilöstötappioita – tarkka määrä täsmentyy.

Suoritettuaan annetun tehtävän, mukaan lukien sen salaisen osan, sotilastiedustelijat vetäytyivät ilman tappioita.

Landing on Kinbourn

Special officers of the GUR destroyed dozens of occupiers and their equipment on the scythe

On August 9, 2024, as a result of a raid on the Kinburn spit occupied by the Russians, six units of enemy armored vehicles were destroyed and about three dozen invaders were eliminated.

The amphibious operation was carried out by the units "Khimera", "Stugna", "Paragon", "Siberian Battalion", "Terror" as part of the Timur special unit of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with the support of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and in cooperation with other components of the State Security and Defense Forces.

During the mission on the spit, special forces attacked Russian fortifications at their positions "Kinburn Fortress", "Marine Station" and "Suvorov Monument".

Near the latter, soldiers of the GUR installed the battle flag of the Military Intelligence of Ukraine.

The Kinburn spit will be free, like all other temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
