The 40-year-old Russian was detained by police in early February in front of the Russian consulate building while trying to sell a stolen bicycle. He was abducted from the building of the Council of Europe office from the municipal deputy of Strasbourg, former first vice-mayor of the city Alain Fontanel.
The deputy found the stolen bike on the site of advertisements. The police set up a meeting with the seller, he was detained.
