Three people died on the trawler "Captain Lobanov" near Kaliningrad
KALININGRAD, March 25. /TASS/. According to updated data, three people died on the trawler "Captain Lobanov" in the Baltic Sea near Kaliningrad. The head of the press service of the regional government, Dmitry Lyskov, told reporters about this.
“According to updated information today, three people died on the trawler “Captain Lobanov”. One victim is still in serious condition, three more sailors were discharged for outpatient treatment, their lives are not in danger,” Lyskov said.
On March 19, a fire broke out on board the ship "Captain Lobanov". It was previously reported that there were seven people on board the ship - one person died, three were hospitalized, and three more were sent home.
The governor of the region, Anton Alikhanov, decided to pay compensation in the amount of 1 million rubles to the families of the victims and 500 thousand rubles to those injured in the incident. The head of the region and the regional authorities expressed deep condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy and complete recovery to the victims.
The vessel was towed to the port of Baltiysk. According to data from open sources, the trawler belongs to the company Marine Firm Stalactit LLC. In June 2021, this vessel capsized on board near the slipway and partially sank off the shore of the Kaliningrad Sea Shipping Canal. No one was injured then.
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Kaliningrad Region will provide the owner of the damaged vessel with all possible support, Lyskov added.
