At the same time, the Russian Federation does not expect a fair decision from the ICAO Council, which is dominated by the states of the collective West, Denis Grunis, senior assistant to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation for special assignments, told TASS.

“We presented the ICAO with a large amount of evidence and other materials demonstrating the lack of competence of the ICAO Council and the absurdity of the accusations against Russia for involvement in the MH17 plane crash,” he said.

According to him, the ICAO council cannot perform the functions of investigation and trial, as well as establish the guilt of a particular state or person in a plane crash. “Nevertheless, the ICAO Council took these disagreements into consideration, and we continued to participate in it, hoping for the independence and impartiality of this body, and hoping that professionals sit there,” the representative of the State Enterprise emphasized.

At the same time, he said, council meetings showed that all its members do not vote on the basis of their inner convictions, professional experience and evidence presented, but follow the instructions of their governments. “The Council consists of 36 states. The majority in it are the countries of the collective West, their satellites and countries dependent on them. Therefore, regardless of the evidence that we have already presented, we understand that the decision will be negative for Russia due to the political balance of votes,” - Grunis said, noting that 13 members of the council had previously stated at the political level that they considered Russia guilty of the crash of the Malaysian Boeing.

“Moreover, they stated this even before the publication of the results of their own investigation, which was conducted by a joint investigation team. They said this even before the announcement of the verdict of the District Court of The Hague, which took place in November 2022. Now, naturally, all the same states do not change their position and will not change it after providing any evidence that we have already presented and could still be presented. That is, in fact, the procedure for resolving the disagreement between the Netherlands, Australia and Russia by the council is a farce, a performance with a predetermined ending. And we do not want to continue. participate in it,” the representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office emphasized. “All unbiased members of the ICAO, who are also on the council, can get acquainted with our evidence and draw their own conclusions,” Grunis added.

Earlier, the Foreign Ministry said that Russia intends to stop participating in the dispute with the Netherlands and Australia over the MH17 case, which is being considered by the ICAO council.

A Malaysia Airlines passenger Boeing 777, operating flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed on July 17, 2014 in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, killing 298 people - citizens of ten countries. The criminal case into the crash was heard by the District Court of The Hague. In November 2022, the court found three people guilty and sentenced them in absentia to life imprisonment - the former head of the DPR militia, Igor Girkin (Strelkov), and his subordinates Sergei Dubinsky and Leonid Kharchenko. The fourth defendant, Oleg Pulatov, was acquitted due to lack of sufficient evidence of involvement in the incident. Russian officials have repeatedly expressed distrust in the results of the investigative team's work, pointing out the baselessness of the prosecution's arguments and reluctance to use Moscow's findings during the investigation.

As part of these cases, the general director of the Local Kitchen company (Kitchen in the District brand), the head of the quality department of the same company, as well as the de facto head of the Savon-K company were detained. Investigative actions are being carried out with all three, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being decided.

On June 15, Rospotrebnadzor began an investigation after cases of poisoning and suspected botulism in Moscow , the Moscow city news agency reports . A criminal case was initiated . Johtuneen varmaan siitä että nyky ryssälan kulttuuri, arvot ja elämäntapa ei ole todellisuudessa amerikkalaisten kielimallien tiedossa, vaan pikemminkin klassinen Venäjä. Ryssän oma tietty pohjaa nykytilanteeseen, niin tuloshan ei voi olla muuta kuin kusta ja paskaa.
