Floridalaislehti Miami Herald kertoo, että Cruz oli tiedetty uhka. Hänet oli erotettu koulusta kurinpitotoimenpiteenä. Cruz oli tunnettu siitä, että hän retosteli aseillaan ja veitsillään sosiaalisessa mediassa ja ylpeili ampumalla rottia ilmapistoolilla. Uutistoimisto AP:n mukaan kouluampumisesta syytetty mies kuuluu valkoista ylivaltaa tavoittelevaan järjestöön. Tiedon vahvisti sille järjestön johtaja.

Hänen mukaansa epäilty kouluampuja oli myös osallistunut järjestön sotilaalliseen koulutukseen. Ryhmän tavoitteena on tehdä Floridasta puhtaasti valkoinen osavaltio.

Johtajan mukaan epäillyllä ampujalla oli myös ollut naisongelmia eikä ollut sattumaa, että kouluampuminen tapahtui ystävänpäivänä.

Keppiähän noista pitäisi antaa myös järjestöille jos eivät ole antaneet ilmi tuon tyyppisiä tapauksia. Ja jos ovat agitoineet toimintaan (etenkin jos tekijä on syyntakeeton)

Pätee myös islamisteihin. Siellä missä islamisti saarnaa niin purkutraktorit liikkeelle.
 
Mitä todennäköisimmin on väärää tietoa. Ensinnäkin mies itse on oman arvioni mukaan etnisesti amerikan alkuperäisasukas tai mestitsi, ja tuo huhu "äärioikeistolaisryhmään" kuulumisesta ilmeisesti syötettiin toimittajille eräällä internetfoorumilla tekaistuin todistein.

The FBI received information from an individual who knew Nikolas Cruz in early January warning the agency that the boy might stage an attack.

'The caller provided information about Cruz’s gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting,' said the FBI in a statement on Friday.

The agency went on to state that this information, which came in over their Public Access Line, should have been classified as 'a potential threat to life' and the Miami field office notified about the information.

Those protocols were not followed however for reasons that are still not clear, and on Wednesday Cruz shot dead 17 people.


This marks at least the third mass shooting in the past two years that was carried out by an individual the FBI had been alerted to, but opted not to further investigate.

Omar Mateen was known to have possible terror ties when he massacred 49 people back in 2016 at Pulse nightclub in Orlando and Esteban Santiago walked into a field office in Anchorage, Alaska with a loaded handgun to report having terrorist thoughts just days before he killed five at the Fort Lauderdale Airport.

Kuten arvelinkin, kyse on sekopäästä joka ei ole vas tai oik. Se onkin se pahin tapaus, kun se ei sovi kenenkään agendaan.

Lähes kaikista kouluampumisista ja terroriteoista on ollut ennakkotieto niin Euroopassa kuin täälläkin niin silloin sopii kysyä miksi niitä ei ole edes yritetty estää , sen sijaan on käikki poliittiset ja poliisin sekä turvallisuuspalveluiden voimavarat keskitetty vihapuheen valvontaan.

In a private Instagram group chat, confessed school shooter Nikolas Cruz repeatedly espoused racist, homophobic and anti-Semitic views and displayed an obsession with violence and guns.

Racism was a constant theme in the chat group, which was called "Murica (American flag emoji) (eagle emoji) great" -- a name it was given by Cruz.

The hatred he and others in the group espoused met little resistance from its active members. In one part of the group chat, Cruz wrote that he hated, "jews, ni**ers, immigrants."

He talked about killing Mexicans, keeping black people in chains and cutting their necks. The statements were not made in jest.

There are hundreds of racist messages, racist memes and racist Instagram videos posted in the group.

One member even joked about Cruz's particular venomousness, saying that although he hated black people, too, he didn't "to a point I wanna kill the (sic) like nick."

Cruz said he hated black people simply because they were black; Cruz hated Jews because he believed they wanted to destroy the world.

After one member expressed hatred for gay people, Cruz agreed, saying, "Shoot them in the back of head."

White women drew Cruz's hatred as well, specifically those in interracial relationships, whom he referred to repeatedly as traitors.

Colorado School District To Allow Armed Teachers

The news following the Parkland massacre has focused primarily on efforts to impede the rights of people who had nothing at all to do with Parkland. The anti-gun left wants to inhibit the rights of law-abiding citizens in some misguided effort to stop the next shooting, which will still happen no matter what you do.
However, a small school district in Colorado is addressing the situation differently. They’re expanding gun rights in an effort to combat school shootings. And not just any expansion, but one that will directly impact these kinds of shootings.
A rural Colorado school district decided Wednesday night to allow its teachers and other school staff to carry guns on campus to protect students.
The Hanover School District 28 board voted 3-2 to allow school employees to volunteer to be armed on the job after undergoing training.
The district’s two schools serve about 270 students about 30 miles southeast of Colorado Springs, and it takes law enforcement an average of 20 minutes to get there. The district currently shares an armed school resource officer with four other school districts.
Board member Michael Lawson backed the idea not only as way to protect students from a mass shooting, but also as protection against possible violence connected with nearby marijuana grows, which he believes are connected with foreign cartels, the Gazette of Colorado Springs reported.​
Unfortunately, it wasn’t a unanimous decision by the board.
School board President Mark McPherson said a survey showed the community was split on the issue. While staffers would get some training, the retired Army officer said he didn’t think it would be enough to help them respond effectively to an active shooter. He worries what would happen if they fired and missed in a classroom.
“We need to leave that to the professionals,” said McPherson, who also worries about the risk posed by just having the guns in the school building and how they would be stored.​
It should be noted that some states have allowed armed staff for years without incident. In other words, the problem isn’t in law-abiding teachers and staff and it has never been.
Colorado knows school violence. The name “Columbine” is still synonymous with school shootings, after all. Yet how would Columbine have unfolded if there had been even one armed teacher there? How many more students might have survived if those two snot-nosed punks had met armed resistance?
While the Hanover School District isn’t likely to be the target of a mass shooting, they’ve taken a proactive step. In fact, they’ve taken the kind of step that might very well have prevented the district from ever being the target of such a horrific event. After all, armed staff throws in a variable that a mass shooter is unlikely to want to deal with. A given school could have no guns or dozens. They just wouldn’t know, and that might push them to choose a different target.
No one wants to see these events happen, but it’s past time pretending that new laws will actually do any good. Armed resistance is what matters.

BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio — Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones said Monday he will take steps to bolster local school safety by training those who work there.
Jones posted to social media that his office will offer free conceal-and-carry class to a limited number of teachers in Butler County. He also said training regarding on how to react during school shootings would be provided.
He said the details would be coming soon online and suggested that people could visit the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page for more information for CCW for teachers.


Jones on Saturday said he has “been saying this for years” as he tweeted a Fox News story that Polk County, Fla. Sheriff Grady Judd said it would be a “game changer” to allow some hand-picked teachers to carry firearms in the classroom.
Jones, in a video posted Thursday, urged local schools to act now to improve school security in the wake of the mass shooting at a Parkland, Fla. high school on Wednesday.
He said local schools should stop doing fire drills and allow armed former police and military veterans into buildings to help protect students.

Floridassa aseistettu seriffin apulainen seisoi Marjory Stoneman Douglas koulun ulkopuolella, kun koulussa tapahtui joukkoampuminen, kertoo Britannian yleisradioyhtiö BBC. Floridan Browardin piirikunnan seriffin Scott Israelin mukaan apulainen oli palkattu kouluun suojelemaan oppilaita. Hänen tehtävänään oli huolehtia turvallisuudesta ja rikosten ehkäisemisestä. Yhdysvalloissa on noin 14 000–20 000 vastaavaa henkilöä.
