Estonia is interested in 44 used combat vehicles of the type CV9035, which have been selected by the Netherlands for sale.
On Monday an Estonian newspaper reported that the two countries are negotiating about the purchase, a deal worth approximately $100 million.
The deal could be sealed this year, while the first vehicles could be delivered to the former Soviet Republic next year.
The Ministry of Defence in The Hague couldn't say anything about a possible deal. According to a spokeswoman the Ministry never speaks about ongoing negotiations, with which country whatsoever. If an agreement is reached then the House of Representatives would informed accordingly. The price would remain confidential.
The CV9035 is a combat vehicle of Swedish origin, currently being used by the army. Netherlands ordered more than 190 of these vehicles, but all of them have not yet been delivered. Last year the MoD decided to sell several dozens of these vehicles.

On 6 March it was released that the Estonian Defence Ministry has started negotiations for purchasing Swedish infantry fighting vehicles CV90 and German self-propelled howitzers PzH 2000 from the Dutch military.
Estonian Defence Ministry was considering buying the US Bradley fighting vehicles towards the beginning of the year, but decided in favour of CV90's due to the long delivery time and high cost of the Bradley. While the ministry is reluctant to provide detailed information at this time, Estonia is looking to buy around 40-50 IFV's with the price of the transaction estimated at well over 100 million euros.
