Peskov explained why Putin holds public events so late
Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov explained the late start of public events with the participation of the head of state due to Vladimir Putin’s busy work schedule. He told journalist Pavel Zarubin about this.
“For three days in a row, we observed that public presidential events began quite late in the evening. “What could this be connected with,” asked the host of the “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin."
Peskov said that the president has a fairly busy work schedule, and most of it is not of a public nature.
“There is a lot of hard work going on, a huge number of meetings, internal meetings, conversations, phone calls, documents. This all happens most of the working day,” Putin’s press secretary explained.
Before important events, the president often conducts preparations, including separate meetings and calls with participants.
"It takes time. Therefore, this began already in the night. Sometimes it lasts until one or two o’clock in the morning,” he added.
Let us remind you that late the night before, the head of state held a meeting on economic issues.
