Tämä on ehkä ollut jo täällä, kun on vuoden vanha artikkeli, mutta mielenkiintoista nähdä, mitä rahalla saa, jos ostaa vähän vanhempaa uutta kalustoa eli tässä tapauksessa Taiwan hankkii 66 kpl F-16 C/D Block 70/72 hävittäjiä hintaan 8 miljardia dollaria = €6,85mrd.
Hintaan ei kuulu aseistusta (paitsi 20mm konetykin laukauksia), eikä ilmeisesti ilmasta-maahan targeting podeja, mutta muuten lähes kaikki on mukana. Eikös Suomen kaupassa, joka on samaa suuruusluokkaa, ole puhuttu, että aseet olisivat n. €1,5mrd? Tällöin päästäisiin €8,35mrd kokonaiskustannukseen, jos Suomi hankkisi Vipereita. Edullista kieltämättä on, kun muut eivät mahdu edes 10mrd budjettiin, vaikka koneita on pari kappaletta vähemmän.
Tämä olisi voinut olla meille se budjettivaihtoehto, jos olisi ollut pakko hinnasta tinkiä.
Taiwanin kauppaan kuuluu ainakin:
- 9 kpl GE F110 -moottoria varaosiksi
- 75 kpl AN/APG-83 Scalable Agile Beam AESA -tutkaa
- 120 kpl ALE-50 perässä vedettäviä harhamaaleja
- 75 kpl AN/ALQ-211 A(V)4 -elektronisen sodankäynnin itsesuojajärjestelmää
- 27 kpl JHMCS II or Scorpion valonvahvistimen kanssa yhteensopivaa kypäränäyttöä (vain 27 kpl??)
- 70 kpl Night Vision Devices -pimeänäkölaitteita
- 20 kpl maassa olevaa tehtävänpurkuasemaa
- Silppua, soihtuja, 20 mm ammuksia
