Korean Sota Osa II ?

En löytänyt omaa ketjua P-Korealle.
Taitaa olla tuon Kimin jokainen askel satelliittiseurannassa. :)

Ensi viikolla virkavalansa vannova Yhdysvaltain tuleva presidentti Donald Trumpkommentoi Kim Jong-unin puhetta Twitterissä.

Lupailtu laukaisu tosiaan tapahtui.

Preventing Kim Jong Un from developing an operational ICBM can be achieved if North Korea never tests prototypes of the missile. Without flight tests, Pyongyang will not know if the ICBM’s performance and reliability are adequate. However, sea-based missile defenses available today are not capable of reliably interrupting a North Korean ICBM test.

North Korean leader's half brother killed in Malaysia: source

The estranged half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has been killed in Malaysia, a South Korean government source told Reuters on Tuesday.

Kim Jong Nam, the older half brother of the North Korean leader, was known to spend a significant amount of his time outside the country and had spoken out publicly against his family's dynastic control of the isolated state.

He was believed to be in his mid-40s.

Police in Malaysia told Reuters on Tuesday an unidentified North Korean man had died en route to hospital from Kuala Lumpur airport on Monday. Abdul Aziz Ali, police chief for the Sepang district, said the man's identity had not been verified.

An employee in the emergency ward of Putrajaya hospital said a deceased Korean there was born in 1970 and surnamed Kim.

South Korea's TV Chosun, a cable television network, said that Kim was poisoned at Kuala Lumpur airport by two women believed to be North Korean operatives, who were at large, citing multiple South Korean government sources.

The South Korean government source who spoke to Reuters did not immediately provide further details.

South Korea's foreign ministry said it could not confirm the reports, and the country's intelligence agency could not immediately be reached for comment.

Kim Jong Nam and Kim Jong Un are both sons of former leader Kim Jong Il, who died in late 2011, but they had different mothers.

Kim Jong Nam was believed to be close to his uncle, Jang Song Thaek, who was North Korea's second most powerful man before being executed on Kim Jong Un's orders in 2013.

In 2001, Kim Jong Nam was caught at an airport in Japan traveling on a fake passport, saying he had wanted to visit Tokyo Disneyland. He was known to travel to Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China.

He said several times over the years that he had no interest in leading his country.

"Personally I am against third-generation succession," he told Japan's Asahi TV in 2010, before his younger had succeeded their father.

"I hope my younger brother will do his best for the sake of North Koreans' prosperous lives."

Kimi pisti tappokäskyn, jonka seurauksena Kim Jong-nam sekä kaksi naista kuoli myrkytykseen. Ei tätä voi muuten sulattaa...

North Korea has said Malaysia is responsible for the death of one of its citizens and is attempting to politicise the return of his body.

It does not name Kim Jong-nam, but the KCNA report appears to be state media's first reference to the death of the half-brother of North Korea's leader.

Mr Kim died after being poisoned at Kuala Lumpur airport and his body remains in a hospital mortuary.

Several North Koreans are wanted in connection with his death.

They include a senior official at the North Korean embassy in Kuala Lumpur as well as an employee of the state airline, Air Koryo.

Four other North Koreans named earlier in the case are thought to have left Malaysia already, while another North Korean is in detention.

Malaysia's police chief Khalid Abu Bakar said on Thursday that he had asked international police agency Interpol to issue an alert for the four.

On Wednesday, Malaysian police confirmed that Mr Kim died after two women - also in detention - wiped a toxin on his face while he was waiting for a flight to Macau.

It said the attack was "planned" and that the women had been well trained. They have not directly blamed the North Korean state, but said North Koreans were clearly behind it.

Mr Kim was once seen as a possible successor to his father, Kim Jong-il, but was bypassed in favour of his younger half brother, Kim Jong-un, and spent many years living abroad.

He had been travelling on a passport under the name Kim Chol.

Malaysia says it believes the man was indeed Kim Jong-nam, the estranged half-brother of Kim Jong-un, though it is seeking family DNA samples for official confirmation, a request North Korea called "absurd".

Kim Jong-nam's Assassins in Malaysia Used VX Nerve Agent. That's a Big Deal.

On Friday morning, Malaysian police confirmed that Kim Jong-un’s half-brother, Kim Jong-nam, was assassinated with the VX nerve agent at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. North Korea is thought to possess the world’s third largest chemical weapons stockpile after the United States and Russia, with one estimate noting that it may possess 2,500 to 5,000 tons of chemical warfare agents. To date, while VX had thought to be an objective for North Korea’s chemical weapons program, there had been no evidence that Pyongyang possessed the highly dangerous nerve agent.

Kim Jong-nam’s assassination, which took place on February 13, has been surrounded by intrigue and speculation, ranging from the extent to which the North Korean mission in Kuala Lumpur provided direct support to the motivations of the two female assassins involved. Malaysian authorities have held individuals at the North Korean embassy in the country liable for involvement in the attack and the use of VX adds to the growing list of evidence pointing to the fact that this was a state-sanctioned assassination, despite ongoing North Korean denials.

North Korea’s use of VX is especially audacious given that it occurred at a busy international airport. VX is so dangerous that the median lethal dose is estimated at 10 mg. The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notes that “people can be exposed through skin contact, eye contact, or inhalation.” The agent can kill within minutes of making contact with human skin. In Kim Jong-nam’s case, Malaysian authorities noted that the agent was detected in his eyes; chemical nerve agents generally work faster once they’ve made contact with mucous membranes such as those found in the human eye.

Remarkably, no reports have emerged to date of any individuals suffering from the VX use at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on February 13. Both assassins survived to end up in Malaysian custody and Malaysia has not specifically announced if any medical or airport staff who handled Kim Jong-nam’s body fell ill or demonstrated any signs of having come into contact with a deadly nerve agent.

Indeed, one of the remaining mysteries in this case now, with the confirmation of VX use, is how neither of the assassins nor any bystanders appear to have been affected. One possibility — suggested by the use of multiple assassins instead of one — is that a VX binary was used, but this has not been confirmed by Malaysian authorities. In a two-stage binary VX reaction, two otherwise safe precursor compounds synthesize the dangerous nerve agent. Accounts of the Kim Jong-nam assassination — including CCTV footage — have confirmed at least two women approached Kim, one of whom put him in a two-handed chokehold. (The U.S. Army first developed binary nerve agents to enable safer handling and storage.)

North Korea is not party to the Chemical Weapons Convention, but has signed the Geneva Protocol restricting the use of chemical agents in war. According to the Nuclear Threat Initiative, “at maximum capacity, North Korea is estimated to be capable of producing up to 12,000 tons of CW.” For wartime use, South Korea seemingly expects delivery of chemical or biological agents by conventional artillery shells. In 2010, after the shelling of Yeonpyeong Island, fearing chemical use in the future, South Korea handed out gas masks to the island’s residents.

It’s unclear if the Kim Jong-nam assassination was meant to serve the secondary purpose of signaling to the world that North Korea definitively possesses the capability to synthesize VX. Immediately after Kim Jong-nam’s death, North Korea protested Malaysia’s intention to proceed with an autopsy and demanded that the body be transferred to its diplomatic mission. Melissa Hanham, an arms control expert at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, told The Diplomat that North Korea’s denials in the press and suspected attempt to even break into the morgue where Kim Jong-nam’s body also add confusion to the situation.

The choice of VX for the assassination, however, isn’t unprecedented. Japanese doomsday cult Aum Shinrikyo used the nerve agent for the 1995 assassination of Tadahito Hamaguchi in Osaka, with VX emerging in the autopsy. Aum Shinrikyo also carried out an attack on the Tokyo subway with sarin, another nerve agent, in 1995, killing 12 and injuring more than 4,000. North Korea has used poison-laced needle attacks in assassination attempts in the past; South Korean authorities reported three such incidents against South Korean activists helping North Korea defectors as recently as 2011.

For the moment, the Malaysian investigation into the Kim Jong-nam assassination continues, but the confirmation of VX use by North Korea, while troubling, only raises more questions.

Update: Malaysian authorities have confirmed to Reuters that one of the assassins showed effects of VX exposure, including vomiting.

Hullu maailma..

Hullu maailma tosissaan.

Subramaniam Sathasivam said on Sunday that the dose of VX given to Kim was so high it “would have affected everything”.

“VX only requires 10mg to be absorbed into the system to be lethal, so I presume that the amount of dose that went in is more than that,” he said at a news conference.

“The doses were so high and it did it so fast and all over the body, so it would have affected his heart, it would have affected his lungs, it would have affected everything.”

Asked how long it took for Kim to die after he was attacked, Subramaniam said: “I would think it was about, from the time of onset, from the time of application, 15-20 minutes.”

Despite the poisoning, Malaysia has insisted the killing poses no remaining danger to the public and on Sunday declared its international airport a “safe zone” after completing a sweep of the terminal where Kim had been assaulted.

The police forensic team, fire department and atomic energy licensing board swept the budget terminal of Kuala Lumpur International airport at 1 am on 26 February.

“We confirm, number one, there is no hazardous material found in KLIA2; number two, KLIA2 is free from any form of contamination of hazardous material and thirdly, KLIA2 is declared a safe zone,” Abdul Samah Mat, the police chief of Selangor state who is leading the investigation, told reporters at the airport.

The site of the assault was cordoned off during the sweep, but the rest of the terminal remained open. Since the incident, tens of thousands of people have passed through the terminal, with the location of the assault remaining accessible.

VX on esim. Wikipedian tai kirjan Medical Aspects of Chemical Warfare perusteella ensisijaisesti nestemäisenä levitettävä myrkky, jonka pitää käytännössä päästä verenkiertoon aiheuttaakseen laajempia oireita. VX kykenee läpäisemään ihon, mutta paikasta riippuen aika hitaasti. VX neutraloituu tavallisella saippuapesulla. Nämä jälkimmäiset selittävät sitä, miksi murhan suorittanut henkilö on yhä hengissä, vaikka hänen on sanottu levittäneen VX:ää Kimin kasvoille jopa aivan paljain käsin.

Oletettavasti tuolla on pesty kaikki pinnat aika huolella.

LOL

A high-level North Korean delegation has arrived in Kuala Lumpur as Malaysia announced it will charge an Indonesian and a Vietnamese woman with the murder of Kim Jong-nam, the exiled half-brother of North Korea’s leader.

The killing, described by the US and South Korea as a political assassination, has led to a diplomatic meltdown between Malaysia and North Korea, which has repeatedly tried to block the investigation and denied that Kim Jong-nam was murdered.

The visiting delegation includes Ri Tong-il, the former North Korean deputy ambassador to the United Nations. He told reporters on Tuesday that the diplomats were in Malaysia to seek the retrieval of the body and the release of another arrested suspect, a North Korean national.

Ri Tong-il added that the delegation also sought the “development of friendly relationships” between North Korea and Malaysia.
