Mild topic shift, but speaking of the RK62, the RK90 was the first prototype to my knowledge (and I think a rumored RK92 or 93) were tested before they made final changes and the RK95 was finally made with the FINAL of MANY plastic magazines tested beforehand.
Does anyone have their hands on any of the "Color plastic magazines" that FDF were testing out in the 1980's? In the 80's, they had no loop on the lower side and no tower marking and ranged from White, Grey, Green, Black, Yellow, Orange, Beige, Brown, Tan, Sand, etc etc .... Alot were "Semi-Translucent Plastic" being you could see through the plastic when held to the light.
They also tested some with the RK body style with loop and tower mold (being I have a few couple of specimens).
I have a nice collection as I've spent extensive time tracking down specimens and am trying to build it up more so am looking for some more Of these mags so if any of you have grabbed some of these within the past 20 years of them of being surplussed, I AM willing to pay ALOT more than the price they went for to make it worth your time! Even if not interested, some pictures would be nice as I'd like to see the specimens that i do not have and I really want to publish an article on these magazines on which little is known about them outside of Finland.
The Greens (which I do not need unless a very light shade which is almost white) are the most plentiful being they made it to a 2nd stage of testing, yet still had issues. In which they were surplussed, and will pay much more than they went for when surplus and make it well worth your time.
Feel free to contact me.
Thanks.
