Peskov said that there were no open decrees on changing the commander-in-chief of the Navy
MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. Open decrees on changing the commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy have not been published, and the Kremlin does not comment on closed ones. This was the answer given at a briefing by Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov when asked about media reports about the resignation of Nikolai Evmenov from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Navy.
“There are decrees classified as “secret”; I cannot comment on them,” Peskov noted. “There were no open decrees that are subject to publication on this matter.”
Earlier, media and Telegram channels, including the Izvestia newspaper and the Fontanka portal, reported the resignation of Admiral Evmenov. They came out with the statement that the commander of the Northern Fleet, Admiral Alexander Moiseev, would temporarily act as commander-in-chief of the Navy.
The Russian Ministry of Defense did not confirm the change of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy.
