In the summary for June 11, we were unable to analyze in detail what was happening in the southeastern sector of the Ukrainian offensive. Let's start from that direction today.
Sources that did not get in touch yesterday, as it turned out, were busy with business. On June 11, the Armed Forces of Ukraine occupied Staromlynovka and advanced further. Now the fighting is going on near the settlements of Nadiynoye and Krasnaya Polyana.
Advancement in this direction will enable Ukrainian troops to bypass Volnovakha from the west and move further to Mariupol.
Continuing to advance from the village of Blagodatnoye, the Armed Forces of Ukraine came very close to Volnovakha from the north. At the time of writing the summary, the fighting is going on near the village of Zeleny Gay.
During the night of June 11-12, the Russian Armed Forces managed to collect some reserves, according to Russian army sources, this is part of those troops that were sent to take up fortified positions between Volnovakha and Mariupol, and tried to counterattack the already lost Staromlynovka and the neighboring village of Makarovka .
The Russian military say that the attack did not really work out, because the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine covered the units on the way and they had to retreat. The Ukrainian military confirmed this information, but without details. Perhaps tomorrow we will see on the network a video and photo of the burnt armored vehicles of the RF Armed Forces (we may not see it).
Volnovakha is the last large and fortified settlement on the road to Mariupol, which is 65 km from Volnovakha.

On the morning of June 12, Ukrainian officers stationed in the Pologov region reported that the city was blocked, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine were moving along the T0803 highway to the village of Bilmak (Kamyanka), the next Russian supply hub in the frontline zone.
We don't know what's going on in the Pologs themselves. With equal probability, the city may already be under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or still be held by the surrounded formations of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
If the southeast direction is the road to Mariupol, and Tokmak is the path to Melitopol, then Pologi-Bilmak is access to Berdyansk and the opportunity to strike at the rear of the units of the RF Armed Forces, clinging to positions southwest of Staromlynovka.
On June 12, the city of Primorsk, adjacent to Berdyansk, came under rocket fire. The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the military base of the RF Armed Forces, warehouses and the headquarters of the 35th Combined Arms Army (which arrived to fight from the Amur Region). During the shelling, the chief of staff of the army, Major General Sergei Goryachev, was killed, the commander of the army, Sergei Nyrkov, was either shell-shocked or seriously wounded, more than 20 officers were killed and wounded.
According to sources in the headquarters of the RF Armed Forces in other directions, officers are hastily assembled in the Zaporozhye region to replace the dead and wounded.

The situation near Tokmok is not completely clear. We know from sources on both sides that the Armed Forces continue to advance towards the city from the west and north. But the Russian and Ukrainian military name different settlements in the area where the fighting is taking place. Moreover, the officers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation paint a much gloomier picture for themselves than their opponents from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The diagram shows the line of contact, which was precisely indicated by Russian sources.
From Tokmak to Melitopol 63 kilometers. Approximately the same as from Volnovakha to Mariupol. The Armed Forces of Ukraine left the same distance from the two largest cities of the occupied Ukrainian south.
At the headquarters of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine, they are increasingly talking about the imminent landing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region and about the preparation of Ukrainian troops to force the Dnieper on the entire left bank from Energodar to Hola Pristan .
Judging by the reports from the Kherson region, there is unrest in the remaining units of the RF Armed Forces there. According to rumors (so far these are just rumors), one of the motorized rifle companies, which was preparing positions about 40 km from the Dnieper, refused to obey orders and fled. The refusal was due to the dissatisfaction of the soldiers, most of whom were mobilized this winter, that they have to serve on the front line and there are no other Russian troops left between them and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Rumors about this have reached us from staff officers from the Crimea. Officers stationed in the Kherson region say they do not know anything about this, but given the mood of the soldiers, this could well have happened. So far, the escaped motorized riflemen (if they really escaped) have not been seen either in the Crimea, where it would be easiest for them to get to, or in the Zaporozhye region.
As we wrote on Saturday, the battles of June 11 and 12 could and, apparently, became decisive for the entire offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the south. The RF Armed Forces used up their reserves, lost more than half of their artillery pieces, and ended up divided into three groups, although a week ago they were formally a single entity.
Everything is ready for deep breakthroughs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There are almost no serious fortifications left by the RF Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye region. The famous "Surovikin Line" exists only on paper and in a photo on the Internet. In the event of Ukrainian breakthroughs, those Russian units that are forced to retreat to Berdyansk will be in the worst position. It will be unrealistic to take them out of there by land, since the Armed Forces of Ukraine will most likely cut off both the road to Crimea and the road to Mariupol. Taking people out of Berdyansk by sea is dangerous for the fleet,
