A Life We Didn't Choose is a 45-minute documentary in 7 stories of women from Ukraine who witnessed the full-scale war launched by Russia on February 24, 2022, and who have now found refuge in Latvia. The tape was presented at the RigaIFF-2022 film festival in the ShowCase program.
Both Ukrainian women (director Inna Kovalchuk and producer Tetiana Ruban) and Latvian women (director Olena Velichko and producer Yulia Kabitsina-Kabier) worked on the film.
