This is a video from a recent offensive operation on the southwestern outskirts of Bakhmut. The footage shows only a few hours in the forest strip where the enemy's positions were located. Fighters of the Third Assault Division open heavy fire as soon as they enter the "greenery".
This is how the real assault begins. The enemy fires back, but the Ukrainian attack aircraft continue the battle, act in a coordinated manner and capture the invaders.
"We have more men than anyone else," Comrade Datsyk, the commander of the 2nd assault platoon, explains to the Russian prisoners from the 72nd brigade of the Russian Federation.
The occupiers are brought out from under fire, treated with juice and told about what awaits them in captivity: qualified medical care, not torture and death, as taught by enemy propaganda. All this - until one of the Russians decided to activate the grenade - the elimination of the enemy is mandatory.
The task is performed by the fighters of the "Decepticons" platoon, a unit of the 2nd company of the 2nd assault battalion of the brigade.

"From the beginning of the full-scale war, I began to believe in fate. I was standing without a helmet and armor in the field when they started shelling us. The people who were near the car were injured, but I was not injured. If it is destined by fate, then nothing will be saved," says "Boston", who serves in the 25th brigade.
In the fall, his brigade took part in the liberation of Kharkiv Oblast. Currently, he and his fellow artillerymen are defending the direction of Kreminnaya. Together with the drone operators who scout the positions of the Russians, they destroy the occupiers. We spent two days with the military of the 25th separate airborne brigade.
Fighters of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade invented an interesting technical hybrid cannon on the MT-LB tractor and named the design "Kraken"
Drone warfare is a complex and nuanced topic with drones used for information gathering, observation and direct attacks. The war in Ukraine has seen an explosion in drone use ranging from small commercial DJI Mavics to military grade drones like the Bayraktar TB-2. I'm joined by author and journalist David Hambling who has been tracking and writing about drone use in Ukraine since the Russian invasion in February 2022.

500 days of war. Heavy, bloody battles for the freedom of the Motherland.
This video demonstrates the work of the 3rd mechanized battalion of the 54th OMBR. The equipment was used to deliver infantry to the trenches on the front edge. Delivery conditions and the environment are worth special attention. It is hard to even imagine how a warrior feels in or on the equipment. Every meter of Ukrainian land is worth the blood of our defenders.
After reconnaissance in daylight, it was decided to destroy the cannon. Planning was carried out, followed by reconnaissance the day before departure and a subsequent night operation by one of the crews of the K-2 battalion's attack drones.
In the video, you will hear more detailed comments by the commander of our unit - Major Veres Kyryl Kyrylovych.
Military personnel of the DPSU maintain defense in the Avdiivka area. Russian units do not stop trying to bypass the city from the flanks, but all attempts to encircle it are smashed against Ukrainian positions. One of the recent enemy assaults lasted about ten hours. In the attack, the occupiers used tanks and BMPs, artillery, infantry, launched airstrikes against the defense forces and even threw tear gas ammunition at the positions of the border guards. The fighters were able to defeat part of the enemy's armored vehicles, and also eliminated several dozen infantrymen of the Russian Armed Forces. In the end, the Russian assault failed and the surviving remnants of the invaders were forced to retreat. How the assault took place, what was the most difficult for the border guards and in what conditions are the DPSU servicemen in general defending in the Avdiivka area - see in the material.
Video analysis of the assault by the fighters of the 1st mechanized battalion of the 3rd OShBr from the offensive operation on the outskirts of Bakhmut.
"The operation itself began alarmingly for our group. We pulled up at night to take up positions. We received information that we already have a wounded man - "Mowgli" was wounded. Stepped on mine. It was very demoralizing for our group, but a task is a task, and we carried on with it."
How is the real assault? What is the relationship between the Russians and their two hundred and how did the Russians surrender? The tasks are performed by fighters of the 1st and 3rd assault companies of the 1st mechanized battalion.
The video includes real GoPro footage from the unit's fighters, which were filmed during the operation.

Several international units have been created in Ukraine, where foreigners fight. The ButusovPLUS team had the opportunity to work with one who is part of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense. Volunteers from the USA, Poland, Sweden, Belarus and other countries serve here. Most of them have previous combat experience in Iraq or Afghanistan. Due to the specifics of the tasks, we cannot show them in the work, but we managed to record conversations with some foreign fighters.
We are preparing separate interviews with each hero you saw in the report.
P.S. The video has both Ukrainian and English subtitles.
On the day the Russian Federation began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the town of Hostomel with its Antonov airport became one of the first and main targets of Russian troops.
The first cruise missile hit Hostomel in the morning of Feb 24. A few hours later, an assault began on the airport and the military unit of the National Guard of Ukraine located in the city. Almost immediately, enemy air strikes hit the hangar where the world's largest airplane, the only one of its kind, the An-225 “Mriya”, was located. Russian unguided missiles also hit the An-124 “Ruslan”, which was located in a neighboring hangar.
The airport in Hostomel could accommodate large cargo planes. Therefore, the invaders planned to use it for the rapid movement of troops and equipment. And then there was a direct road to Kyiv. In addition to the National Guard, units of other military formations and special services of Ukraine participated in the defense of the airport. The Hostomel airport was stormed by Russian paratroopers in helicopters under the cover of Ka-52 combat helicopters, a Su-25 attack aircraft and a Su-24 bomber.
The core of the company-tactical group of the Guards consisted of conscripts – young but professionally trained, in the best traditions of the Hostomel Brigade. The Ukrainian defenders shot down six russian helicopters with fire from anti-aircraft guns and man-portable air defense systems. Among them were the "legendary" Ka-52s widely advertised on russian TV.
The Guardsmen, together with a unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, used artillery to target the concentration of enemy troops landing from the surviving helicopters. They also launched a massive artillery attack on the airport runway. According to Ukrainian intelligence, the enemy planned to land at the Hostomel airport with equipment using IL-76 military transport aircraft. However, Ukrainian defenders of the airport prevented the plan from being realized.

The 28th Brigade held these positions for more than four months, the Russians only 200 meters away, in the next forest strip. This is one of the flanks of the defense of Bakhmut, the Russian troops tried to surround the city, but stopped right here. From time to time the occupiers try to storm Ukrainian positions, but without success, for a while this front stabilized and the war in this area became positional.
Fighters of the 28th and 3rd Assault Brigades managed to cross the canal and move forward.

This is one of the best examples of leadership in modern combat that I've seen to date! Very impressive guidance, direction and communication
Volunteer. Prisoner of war. Solitary fugitive trapped on the occupied territory. This all is about a Ukrainian Marine with the call sign 'Zelenyi'. The incredible story of a Ukrainian soldier who defended Mariupol and then spent nine months hiding from the Russians in the basements of his hometown.
