Offensive on the Kharkiv region: the Russian pressure falls, Ukrainian units move to counterattacks

On May 10, 2024, units of the Russian army began offensive operations in the north of the Kharkiv region. From the first day, Ukrainian border guards, together with other Defense Forces, participate in repelling enemy attacks. The calculations of strike drones play an important role in the course of hostilities on this part of the front. Among them are fighters of the Chimera group from the border brigade "Steel Border". Pilots work from Vovchansk, hunting for equipment and infantry of the occupiers. The military counter-intelligence of the SBU arranges revenge on the occupiers in the Kharkiv direction

Only in the last two weeks, soldiers of the Department of Military Counterintelligence of the SBU destroyed:

7 tanks, 5 anti-aircraft guns, 3 anti-aircraft guns and 9 artillery systems
4 mortars and 3 ATGMs
8 cars and 3 trucks
35 firing positions and fortifications of the occupiers
1 warehouse with ammunition
1 calculation of FPV drones and 2 "anti-drone" calculations
1 EW complex "Pole-21" and 1 antenna of the electronic warfare system
4 communication antennas, 2 FPV antennas, 1 PEP antenna, 3 video surveillance cameras and "Murom-M".

In addition, in cooperation with the artillerymen of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, fire was adjusted and another 51 units of Russian military equipment and weapons were hit.

The inscriptions on artillery shells from our soldiers reminded the occupiers for what crimes they would die.

Since the start of the full-scale war, the SBU has destroyed more than 1,000 Russian tanks

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the Security Service has eliminated 1,006 Russian tanks.

The largest number of enemy armored vehicles was destroyed during fierce battles in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.

Using heavy armored vehicles, the aggressor often tried to break through the positions of the Ukrainian defenders and provide cover for the assault groups of the invaders.

In addition, the enemy regularly engaged tank formations to carry out attacks on the fortified areas of the Defense Forces in Zaporizhzhia.

In order to destroy Russian armored vehicles by fire, the Security Service conducted effective combat operations together with units of the Armed Forces.

The maximum arsenal of armor-piercing weapons and unmanned systems was used against enemy tanks.

A large number of Russian armored vehicles were hit at the initial stages of the offensive - before they went out to storm Ukrainian positions. Some of the tanks were destroyed along with their crews.

The SBU, side by side with other units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, continues to "minus" the occupation groups of the Russian Federation in order to bring our Victory closer.

The commander of the special unit of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine "Group 13" with the call sign "Thirteenth" in an exclusive interview to Maxim Krapivny confirmed that one of the new modifications of the unmanned marine platform Magura already has on board the R-73 missile.

R-73 — Soviet-made air-to-air missiles with an infrared homing system.

Magura naval strike drones equipped with such missiles have already been used during combat operations on the Black Sea, and this has become a serious factor of fear and risk for Russian aviation.

"Such developments are effective - Russians are very afraid of them. When they see them, they are afraid to even fly up. And the uniqueness is that no one has such a thing. [...] These weapons have already been installed, and they will give their results," the Thirteenth said.

The commander of Group 13 also recalled his emotions when Magura, led by him, struck the Russian reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs.

"Adrenaline just covers. Hands are wet. At the same time, the drone needs to be controlled quite jewelry, I would say - gently. Movements should not be sharp and uncontrollably. Everything should be smooth," explained the special force of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Magura strike naval drones have already proven their effectiveness: they deprived Russia of dominance in the Black Sea and reduced threats to Ukraine.

"The Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, with the support of aviation and other components, pressed and tried to create additional threats to Ukraine, our Security and defense Forces: in particular, the threats of amphibious operations. Marine drones, first of all Magura V5, have become such an asymmetric response that the enemy still cannot catch up," said Andriy Yusov, representative of the Military Intelligence of Ukraine, in the comments of the Facts of the Week on ICTV.
