The builder of the Orsk dam for almost a billion rubles blamed rodents for the breakthrough
The director of the Spetsstroy company, which built a dam in Orsk for almost a billion rubles, Sergei Komarov, blamed rodents for the breakthrough of the structure. He stated this on Channel One.
According to Komarov, he had two versions of what happened - the human factor, which he dismissed, and mouse holes. The builder considers the second version to be the main one.
“Rodents (...) could have pierced this dam, and this hole would have been enough for water to flow through the dam,” Komarov said.
On April 5, a dam broke in the city of Orsk, Orenburg Region , after which residential areas began to be flooded with water. The head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, called the situation critical.
