New details have emerged about the detention of the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Chechnya, Alikhan Tsakaev, at the Gerzelsky Bridge checkpoint. It became known that armed people from Chechnya arrived at the place of detention. They, threatening with machine guns, demanded that the police release Tsakaev.
The attempt to detain Tsakaev in Dagestan became known on April 17. The incident occurred on April 14. It was reported that the general was driving a black GMC SUV and attracted the attention of local traffic police officers .
The minister tried to escape from the place of arrest and beat the police
Tsakaev's jeep was stopped for driving in the oncoming lane. The major general obeyed the demands of the traffic police officers and stopped the car, but came into conflict with the inspectors. After some time, Tsakaev sharply pressed the gas and the car drove straight towards the traffic police officers. The police had to use a hedgehog to finally stop the car.
Tsakaev was pulled out of the car and taken after the arrest to the premises of the federal checkpoint (FCPP), where the minister began to insult the police. Moreover, he hit two employees: he kicked a senior sergeant in the stomach, and kicked a senior lieutenant in the knee.
One of the employees recalls that the minister was drunk and unsteady on his feet. In the room, Tsakaev did not introduce himself and did not name his position. He promised that the police who detained him would soon find out who he was. Moreover, he began to threaten employees with rape.

10 minutes later, traffic police inspectors from Chechnya arrived at the place of detention of the head of the Chechen Ministry of Emergency Situations. They behaved decently, did not threaten their colleagues and tried to calm Tsakaev, who continued to insult him. After this, according to one of the police officers, officers of the Chechen National Guard arrived at the scene. The Baza publication calls them “Akhmatovites,” meaning SOBR “Akhmat” - the Chechen special unit of the Russian Guard.
The Chechen security forces were armed. “The cartridges were loaded into the chamber. It was as if they were going to fight,” recalls one of the law enforcement officers. Eyewitnesses say that Chechen special forces threatened to use violence. They took Tsakaev away, who at the same moment promised to bring the police who detained him to their knees. Then the Akhmatovites hit one of the police officers several times, put the head of the Chechen department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in a car and drove away with him.
It is known that Tsakaev, by decree of the President of Russia, was appointed head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Chechen Republic on March 25, 2022. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, called him “dear brother.” Kadyrov also called on the leadership of Dagestan to understand what had happened and added that the employees who participated in the detention of Tsakaev “must be driven out of the structures with a bang.”
