40 people drowned in Russia in one day
MOSCOW, July 21. /TASS/. The number of people who died in bodies of water in Russia over the past 24 hours was 40, the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry told TASS.
"40 people, including 2 children, died in the country's water bodies over the past 24 hours, which is 21 cases more than in the same period last year," the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
On July 20, 53 incidents on water were recorded in the Russian Federation. On the same day a year ago, there were 23.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations strongly recommends choosing places equipped for swimming, not leaving children unattended in bodies of water, not swimming after drinking alcohol, and wearing life jackets while in a boat.
