Panssarivaunut

The Arctic Rytsar (Knight) has been added to the list of advanced infantry fighting vehicles consisting now of the T-15 based on the Armata platform, B-11 based on the Kurganets-25 combat vehicle, and the wheeled Boomerang. This is a new product from the Kurgan Machine-Building Plant (Kurganmashzavod). Expert Sergei Cherkasov writes about this in newspaper Military Industrial Courier.

Undoubtedly, a vehicle customized to local conditions is needed for the Arctic. Combat units must be as autonomous as possible and adapted to climatic conditions. The equipment must not only be operable at all times, but also provide comfortable conditions for people who serve at the edge of the earth. The priority in the Arctic military equipment is given to the engine and running gear. Armament is configured into weapon stations, and the choice can be any, depending on the needs. But in the Arctic, powerful weapons are unlikely to find a worthy target.

GTEs are capable of operating on any fuel that can be pulverized or emulsified, even on coal, not to mention diesel fuel, natural gas or fuel oil. With long supply lines, the opportunity to fill the IFV from a barrel at a polar weather station is worth much. In the early 2010s, a special IFV intended for use for use in high latitudes was already under development. The project called Arctic was developed by Uralvagonzavod, which used the insights on the two-unit all-terrain vehicles Vityaz. Now, judging from media reports, the Tractor Plants Concern, which includes both Kurganmashzavod and KOBM, has found funds to carry out research and design studies. These efforts should result in an armored all-terrain vehicle available in both two-unit and one-unit versions.

Laitan tänne. Joissakin artikkeleissa olen nähnyt uusien modien laittavan sähkömoottorit vetäviin pyöriin. Ongelma noissa moottoreissa on paino, mutta tällä hetkellä sähkömoottorin kehitys on parempi asia kuin patteritekniikkaan luottaminen, sillä siinä voidaan saavuttaa uskomattomia etuja. Jossain tulevaisuudessa se täysin sähköistetty tstpanssari myös tulee todeksi vaikka pidänkin perinteisen diiselin pörinästä.

Last year we built a prototype motor on a workbench and subjected it to thorough testing. The results are clear: Using the same power electronics, stator parameters, and other design constraints as a conventional motor, the machine is able to produce almost 6 percent more torque and attain 2 percent higher peak efficiency. And in the driving cycle the improvement is even better: It requires 4.4 percent less energy. That means a car that would have gone 100 kilometers on a charge can, with this motor, go 104.4 km. The extra range comes cheaply because our design incorporates only a few additional parts, which are much less expensive than adding extra batteries.

We are in contact with several original equipment manufacturers that find the concept interesting, though it will be some time before you see one of these asymmetric motors in a production car. When it does show up, though, it should eventually become the new standard, because getting all you possibly can from the energy you have at hand is a top priority for carmakers—and for society at large.

Puolustusministeri Jussi Niinistö on valtuuttanut Puolustusvoimat hankkimaan BMP-2MD -rynnäkköpanssarivaunun tykkejä Naton logistiikkavirastolta, kertoo Puolustusvoimat tiedotteessaan tiistaina.

Hankinta sisältää yhdeksän tykkiä sekä 91 tykin lisähankintavarauksen vuosille 2018-2012. Tykit ja varaosat toimittaa slovakialainen ZTS Special AS. Hankinnan ja varauksen arvonlisäveroton hinta on noin 8 miljoonaa euroa.

Uusilla osilla turvataan BMP-2MD -rynnäkköpanssarivaunujen suorituskyky ja käytettävyys ainakin 2030-luvulle asti. Vaunua käytetään Maavoimien mekanisoiduissa taisteluosastoissa.

PSPR:n/PSD:n vuosipäiväsdä pari tuntia sitten. Mikä himmeli tämä oikein on? Ps-rekkari alkoi numerolla 9, eli viestin vekotin. ilmeisesti elsoa.

Melkonen himmeli tosiaan ja miksi ihmeessä se on tollasella alustalla?!? Ilmeisesti jotain hyvin vanhaa ELSO rojua. Olisko @CV9030FIN mitään hajua tästä?
