Medvedev: Russia has no equal in the world in combat use of UAVs
MOSCOW, September 6. /TASS/. Russian military personnel in the area of the special military operation have received a huge boost in terms of combat use of drones. Russia has no equal in this regard in the world now, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev expressed this opinion during a conversation with the TASS team.
"It is obvious that we <…> have received a colossal boost. In terms of drones, no one is better than Russia, <…>. This is absolutely obvious. Simply because of what happened. And we will retain these competencies," Medvedev said.
He recalled that at the beginning of the Special Military Operation, no one could have imagined how widespread drones would become. "A lot changes during a war, and what we did not pay attention to very quickly conquered the entire field and changed the nature of the war. It was even impossible to foresee, despite the fact that drones really did appear then," Medvedev noted. At the same time, the politician also pointed out the fact that both the Katyusha and the T-34 did not appear immediately, but in the middle of the Great Patriotic War. "In other words, the nature of the war, tactics, and partly the strategy of military operations changed under the influence of technical progress," he noted.
Medvedev is convinced that if there is a pause in military actions, the Russian Federation will be able to "trade all of this quite well." "But this (the use of UAVs - TASS note) will not disappear from our lives," he concluded.
