Tuore tilannekatsaus niihin mielestäni tärkeimpiin suuntiin (twitter-ketju oli hieman poukkoileva joten leikkasin viestit sen mukaan mitä seutua käsittelevät):
Izium: Some of the intensive shelling around Izyum is also Ukrainian forces pinning Russian units in place with artillery, containing their manoeuvres and operations outside of the city. Russia has managed to move some further artillery units south overnight. For now though, the Russian regional FOB in Izyum is failing to move anything major out of the city. Some artillery movements overnight may be the start of something bigger, but Ukrainian forces are applying significant containment pressures here with shelling and airstrikes. Russian forces are now trying to reinforce their operations around Izyum from other regions too, including the Kharkiv resupply conduit in the north and the recent SOF INFIL near Popasna.
Severodonetsk: Russian offensives on Sievierodonetsk continue, but seem unable to galvanise in any form as yet, having so far all been reportedly repelled. However some Russian units including SOF were reinforced into the Popasna region recently and have now gained some ground and secured roads and some settlements south, east and northeast of Sievierodonetsk as they effectively use ground-air integration much more effectively. The resupply of these Russian units will now be key to any effective offensive on Sievierodonetsk, but it is a significant development. Russian units around this region are struggling to be reinforced due to Ukrainian operations around Izyum, but it’s likely a major offensive on Sievierodonetsk will eventually occur. It seems Russian forces have plans to take Sievierodonetsk, Bakhmut (and isolate the highway there), then move on to Sloviansk and attempt to complete the encirclement of Ukrainian units.
Kharkiv: Several Russian reinforcements were moved into the Kharkiv resupply corridor to increase protection for this critical supply route, with some seemingly heading south now towards the Izyum region. Russian shelling onto Ukrainian forces around Kharkiv remains sporadic to protect the resupply corridor and prevent further Ukrainian advances.
Lyman: Russian forces near Lyman have conducted a new operation aimed at severing Ukrainian resupplies and fighting is ongoing this morning. There are reports Russian forces have now moved onto and secured some roads and buildings on the city outskirts. Russian Close Air Support has increased around Lyman and Sievierodonetsk as the weather conditions have improved. This will likely continue and increase as the forecast remains good for the coming days and ground-air integration seems improved here.
Zaporizhia: Russian manoeuvres towards and around their regional FOB east of Zaporizhia near Huliapole continue to gain strength and momentum with ADS moved into the region along with additional BTGs. It’s likely a Russian offensive towards Zaporizhia will occur at some point with some advance units pushing west and taking some settlements. A large Ukrainian counteroffensive here is very likely with Ukrainian air activity increasing too.
Kherson: Russian forces around Kherson are also moving units north, but fighting around Kherson remains without progress. Shelling in this region remains sporadic. With some sporadic shelling reported near Mykolaiv and Kryvyi Rih in the last 24hrs.
