The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the preparation by the special services of Ukraine of an anti-Russian provocation
MOSCOW, 8 January. /TASS/. The Ukrainian side has again prepared a large-scale provocation to accuse the Russian Armed Forces of committing war crimes. This is stated in an urgent statement of the Interdepartmental Coordination Headquarters of the Russian Federation for Humanitarian Response in Ukraine, distributed on Sunday.
"The special services of Ukraine have prepared a new large-scale anti-Russian provocation aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and accusing Russian servicemen of allegedly committing war crimes," the statement said.
It clarifies that on Christmas Eve, representatives of the State Bureau of Investigation and the Security Service of Ukraine organized the opening of graves in cemeteries in the settlements of Cossack Lopan, Veliky Burluk, Shipovatoye and Khatnoye in the Kharkiv region. Residents who died of natural causes from February 24 to September 6, 2022 are buried in them. "After the exhumation, the bodies of Ukrainian citizens were additionally disfigured and thrown into specially prepared pits on the outskirts of these settlements to create a false evidence base, allegedly torturing and shooting civilians by Russian servicemen," the statement emphasizes.
They added that representatives of the Ukrainian special services and law enforcement agencies are now taking photos and videos of the bodies of deceased Ukrainian citizens, and also imitating the work of "forensic experts" and other "procedural actions" in the presence of false witnesses. The statement of the Interdepartmental Coordination Headquarters notes that with the anti-Russian provocation that the SBU is preparing in the Kharkiv region, the Kyiv regime will try to keep the attention of the West and convince of the need to continue supporting Ukraine. "With these anti-human methods, the Kyiv regime, against the background of the lack of any success on the battlefield, seeks to keep the attention of the Western audience and convince foreign partners of the Kyiv regime of the need to continue its further support," the statement says.
